The same for me. It felt like I've just started my bachelors, and tomorrow I'll have to go for an interview for my Master's degree

Actually, it does for everything besides senator, governor and President, and sometimes even then.

Which is why I only vote in local stuff like my city council.

I only vote for local stuff that I really care about. Besides, Iíll be living in Chicago so my vote still wonít count. No point in going in the first place.

Your vote counts less by not voting at all. There is no need to consider the needs of those who don't vote

Yes there is, I am still a citizen of the United States. Citizenship isnít determined by vote participation.

A citizen who doesn't hold a stake in those who decide the limits on citizens isn't obligated to a proper representation by them. There's no point in a representative supporting gay marriage if those who also support it do not vote, for example. Besides one's conscience.

How would a politician know your needs if you don't voice them in some way?

Thanks!

Also if you don't vote it'll just make crazy people push their crazy agenda easier, like trying to outlaw abortion, or banning gay marriage. That's the main reason why I'll continue to vote in elections, even if I'm abroad and it's difficult.
