But there are so many things inside which can be destroyed by the fire, and the spire has just collapsed.

I saw it a few years ago as well.
Apparently some of the artwork inside had been removed a few days ago for the first time in decades due to the renovation, so at least that’s good.

I was there back in 2015 and it was an absolutely gorgeous church

If you can't understand the difference that's up to you, religious freedom is a thing. As is the freedom to make jokes about other faiths
