Which, for a solid degree, will pay itself off.

If you're paying 60k for a gender studies degree you may want to reevaluate though, unless you have friends in advertising.

Apparently gender studies is q HUGE thing to have if you get into advertising - since it's literally a degree in how to not offend anyone.

I believe Gender Studies can also get you a job in LGBT counseling.

I saw a masters in liberal studies. I would deff like to know wtf can you work as after getting that degree lol.

Oh yeah, I am entering one of the best business schools in Europe and the world, so I think I should be fine I guess. I mean the average starting salary for students there is 50,000 euros a year (about 75k Canadian), which I assume is a good starting salary when you don't have work experience (I'm not particularly sure about what salary is good, since I'm from Malaysia, and that is a fücking good salary in Malaysia, considering that my mother, whom has almost 30 years of working experience in Malaysia doesn't even earn close to that amount)

Greater New Poland wrote:Tbh what's the point of community colleges if you can do an actual uni that's not too expensive

You can take your core classes at a CC like math, English, etc for the first 2 years at a cheaper rate than that of an actual uni for their first 2 years. Depending on your financial situation, CCs play a huge role

That is true, however if the actual university only costs 300 dollars more, I don't see the need for studying in community college, especially since after finishing c. college you'll have to deal the bureaucratic process if transferring yourself to the uni, and possibly you might have to find new accommodation and settle down somewhere else (if your uni is very far of c. college, which is most likely the case for most people), which imo might cost more than 300 dollars

Estradia

If for example it is 5,000 dollars cheaper per year to study in a c. college vs a uni, then deff go for the c. college. If not, then maybe c. college might not be the best option for you

That's if you get nice scholarships to help pay some of school. Typically CCs are for those who want a higher education but didn't do well in high school, can't afford normal uni, or are older and looking to retrain in a different field. Without scholarships, you'd save a lot money overall for those 2 years.

If it wasn't for scholarships and grants, CC would definitely be the option. No doubt

She doesn’t wanna tell me how long she has cause she doesn’t want there to be a countdown.

What’s the point of life? Why do we endure years worth of pain and suffering, subsisting, for tiny moments of happiness? Even those moment are tainted. It really isn’t worth it.

I see I’ve picked a bad time to post my depressed thoughts.

It’s okay.

But your right. Why do we endure so much suffering. We all strive for happiness but in the end, most of us don’t achieve it.

I just need a place to spill. Cause I can’t tell anyone that’s near me.

I don’t trust anyone I know in real life anymore. They all spill my secrets.

Thats pretty much what I use NS for, to dump things that I cannot or will not talk about to people in real life.

Yeah, that is one of the great things about this place. Ignoring all the bickering that we sometimes have, I do often trust some of you guys much more than I do real people that I know
