Yeah, the ENEM, from what I found, got nothin' on a US Bar exam.

My high school exams were pretty easy & I didn’t need to study much. But when I went to university it was a completely different story. Don’t get into bad habits just because they work now, you can’t guarantee they’ll work forever!

Respectfully, Brazil does not equal US in terms of Academics. We are crazy when it comes to this stuff.

Finished the exams yet? I know May is IB/AP season. A-levels would still be ongoing, but 'em 'Murrricans should be okay.

Should've known - Brazil ranks terribly in education.

Oof guess I should start studying for exams then.

This nation has just made it into the top 01% in the world for 'Most Cultured', where it joins Bears Armed, The Ursine Northlands, Bears Armed Mission, and Bears Armed Broadcasting Corporation -- i.e. all of the other nations in this region for which I am currently answering issues -- as well as several nations that belong to other players...

Hello, glad I could join, I hope for a successful future in this region. I am looking forward to growing this nation.

Same story for me. High school was easy breezy, didn’t study much at all. As soon as I started university, I definitely realized why studying is important (terrible GPA in my first semester). I do much better nowadays, but it took a tough lesson for me to get around to it. Some classes I am able to get by without much trouble, others I dedicate a lot of time to.

Its a trap for complicated info. If your study habits aren't solidified, you get stuck in a hole from which you cannot escape. University was like that for me, and it bit me in the ass getting a professional doctorate.

Any thoughts on the resolution at vote? (I see Laeral voted against.)

I'm slightly confused at this proposal.

Could I ask what your doctorate is in? Just curious.

A Juris Doctorate to my knowledge.

Reminds me of The Paper Chase and the hotel scene. That is literally my one example of law school exams and it is enough to genuinely scare one.

And Bears Armed isn’t just in the top 01% for this stat, it has climbed to its highest-yet place at #23 in the world…

And to increase "Culture" to those heights is a long, slow slog. Most issues that increase it only do so in small, steadied amounts, so it really takes some commitment. "Cheerfulness" is another stat like that.

True. I don't remember ever seeing an issue raise it by more than 3 points at a time, and even 3 -- rather than just 2 or 1 -- is extremely rare.

And for that stat, Bears Armed is 'only' at 102nd in the world...

This resolution is essentially a tangled political issue involving the raiding/defending (R/D) gameplay, where the region being condemned espouses a particular R/D ideology. Our region's policy is generally that we don't get involved in this sort of activity, because that's not what people in this region are on NS for. I initially voted Against because regional allies involved with R/D urged us to vote against, due to their own political issues. However, having examined the situation further, I changed my vote to For, because of the behavior exhibited by the condemned region, including invasion of other regions. The IDU has historically taken a stance against the invasion of non-aligned regions, and my vote in favor of this condemnation continues this tradition.

Having been peripherally following this resolution for some months now (just out of a general curiosity; I'm not involved in the scene at all), I eventually came down on the same side. Any condemnation of an indiscriminate raider group, especially an unwanted one, sounds good in my book.

As of a mere hour ago (EST) My nation concluded its second year of existence in NS. I now embark on my 3rd year with great anticipation. It is hysterical recalling the day I made Libertas Omnium Maximus 2 years ago. I can very distinctly remember saying to myself something along the lines of: “Oooh, this game looks neat. I will make a nation and see where it goes. It turned up here.

Very cool. It is fun thinking about what was going through your head upon first stumbling across this game. I joined around a year after you, but made a religiously tyrannical nation :P ...this one's my fourth nation

Does your name translate roughly to "the greatest liberty for all"?

Yes. I decided about 15 seconds after creating this nation that it wouldn't be a meme nation so I actually came up with a neat backstory fro why it is called such an odd thing.

From my Wiki Page(most up to date cannon)

"The name Libertas Omnium Maximus, pronounced, Li-bear-tas Um-knee-um Max-im-us, is a nonsensical translation of "A great amount of Liberty for everyone" from English to Latin. The phrase was coined by revolutionaries in 1832 and, after Libertas Omnium Maximus's conversion to democracy, was made the official name of the fledgling nationstate."

It was an attempt by Maximusian Revolutionaries to distinguish themselves from the former government in place. It showed that their efforts were revolution not a coup.
