Congrats. What is your platform?

Libertas Omnium Maximus wrote:Congrats. What is your platform?

I'll make a small document on it.

Libertas Omnium Maximus wrote:Congrats. What is your platform?

Probably something centered around libertarianism.

Hi all,
This is my first time I’m truly writing an issue for NationStates and I want your feedback on the issue I am drafting, I submitted it in both the NationStates Got Issues? Forum and the IDU forum. Thanks.
The post on the NationStates Got Issues? Forum is more up to date.

Election due?

We have a law regulating elections, even going so far as to set the date of the next scheduled one.

Nominations open June 17th.

Election due?

To elaborate on what Sanctaria said, the new Delegacy Elections Act, passed earlier this year, says that nominations for the the July 1st election will start on June 17th, with the Election Commissioner (currently Lauchenoiria, as IDUSA Speaker) setting a time period of 5-10 days for nominations. Because this will be the first election under the new election system, I will remain as Delegate until then. Also, if you're new to the region, be sure to go to the forums and join the IDU States' Assembly (IDUSA) in order to vote in the delegacy election.

Our flock fled Sensumia for our current lands many years ago. While we do not believe in the decadent and demented democracy as practiced by our cousins in Sensumia, we believe in Holy Democracy as practiced by our Holy Order of Priests in the Spiritumian Assembly, who are divinely invested with the knowledge to move our great people forward.

Greetings!

Glad to have another RP nation in the region, even if it is a puppet. One of my puppets, High fells, is a similarly more devout version of my primary nation.

Funny. Bjeorg is just a devout version of mine. It would seem we all have devout puppets.

My concept for High Fells is that it would be dominated by Laeral's indigenous religion, the Minjian Faith (https://www.theidu.us/wiki/Minjian_Faith), and the electoral system I have in my mind right now is based off of Lebanon's, in that seats are reserved for candidates based on their religious faith. For instance, Christians in Lebanon are granted a quarter of seats in their parliament. I haven't quite worked out how it will work in High Fells.

Not me! Kerlile is not devout, just a little misandristic & totalitarian :P

They're devout to oppression then ^^

I have no puppets currently.

IDU Admission: Is it enough to be member of forum? Or do we need to apply for the IDUSA rolls as well? Did so, but don't know if I did in right place.

You have to apply. It is it’s whole seperate thing.

Oki. Did so in the forum on IDUSA Admission. I just hope it's the right one.

It is. I think the speaker has to sort things out before they can accept you. I am sure you will be let in shortly.

Hey there, I'm new to the region (and NS in general). Can someone please clarify, in order to join the IDUSA, do I first need to apply for citizenship at the forum (Immigration desk) and then apply for membership in the IDUSA? Also, is it mandatory as an IDUSA member to also be a member of the WA, in order to participate in regional elections and such?

Welcome to the region! Yes to the first question. Regarding the second question, no puppets are allowed in the IDUSA, so I believe it's required that IDUSA members be WA members to certify that they aren't a puppet. Lauchenoiria, correct me if I'm wrong.

First and foremost, a hearty congratulations for a great issue submission, Christos!

Second off, I was inspired to finally put pencil to paper (metaphorically) regarding an issue I have wanted to address for some time but couldn’t find a good angle on. It is up in the forums! viewtopic.php?f=13&t=464478

This region is full of issues. Dang.
