The-crow wrote:Oh, and I did get Breath of the Wild (Wii U edition) for my birthday. I got goosebumps at the part where you walk out to the cliff like in the trailer. Last night I finally got to the Dueling Cliffs just after nightfall, and I saw a bright light coming from behind me. I turned around and saw the moon coming out from behind the cliffs. It was breathtaking. I can only imagine how good it looks on the Switch.

just wait until you get the first blood moon and you go "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?"

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I was actually scared when that happened. That scene was designed so well it evoked genuine terror in me. I was near "Old Man's" cabin, and first I thought that I was going to die in a forest fire, and I tried to run into the cabin and realized that even if I did, that it would burn down with me trapped in it, the whole time just panicking with no clue of what is going to happen next. So I guess I was not just overreacting, this game just engulfs you in its reality.

I stayed up Friday night to play a solid 12 hours of BotW. I activated quite a few towers, some of which I REALLY shouldn't have went for, considering I haven't even faced a single Protector yet, and I don't have Ancient arrows yet, if those are a thing. And I've been skimping on clothing so I could save up for that thing that costs 3000 rupees, which I finally bought. I only have two horses, both gentle ones. I recovered two memories.

Hello old friends. I am very happy with the establishment of this embassy.

I would like to express my gratitude to Ness Snorlaxia and South Malaysia who so generously helped us make this embassy come together smoothly. We couldn't have done it without you.

At Europa we value and cherish the friendships we make as they more often than not prove to be formed on a strong common ground which in turn makes them last for many many, years to come!

So a very warm welcome to all of you, please come find me in your embassy if you have any questions, suggestions or just want to meet and say hi!

With kinds regards,
Orioni 2

which two memories? and did you stumble on them or have help?

tho since we're updating on game progress, I have:

All towers, All memories, 2 divine beasts. I don't exactly know how many shrines there are, but I'm going to guess I've gotten about 65-70% of the shrines. (no one say how many there are, I'm doing everything I can to avoid all spoilers.

There are 10 shrines

As of today, I have 11 of 12 memories. I have been searching all over and asking Pikango where they are, sometimes taking over an hour just scouring the area. There is one left, which completely eludes me. It is a picture of the top of a defense wall, going into a guard tower with a door and flat roof. There is a pointed roof and part of a Hylian Crest statue visible behind it. I have NO clue where that one is. I have activated every tower, but I have yet to try freeing a Divine Beast. I bet there are more shrines than you think there are. Anyone has any clues as to where that last memory is, I'd like to see it. Also, do you just have to have a certain number of hearts to get the Master Sword? I have been there, but I'm not yet worthy to wield it. Fun tip: during storms, drop metal weapons near your enemies to get lightning to strike them! It also makes fishing easy.

Assuming you haven't figured some of these out in the past 6 days:

1) Pikango is in a specific town, he'll tell you where that memory is. Once you have that, good luck.
2) Yes, you need a specific number of heart. I got it with the minimum number of hearts possible.

It sounds like you're kind of doing what I did, completely exploring the world, getting as much as you can and then going after the divine beasts. Just today I finished off all 4 divine beasts.

I'm still searching for one more fairy fountain.

I think the last fairy fountain is on top of the mountain near Faron Woods, where it never stops raining and you have to climb. So I bet after the beast is calmed there, you can climb in good weather. I haven't found the last fountain either, but that's my suspicion as it's one of the few places I can't get to. I did conquer Divine Beast Vah Rudania(?), the Goron one. I can only hope the other ones are that simple; now that I know what to do, I could probably do the whole mission in 30 minutes, 2 minutes tops for the boss.

1) I actually stormed the border of the castle searching for it, and got that memory. It was worth the risk, given the amount of treasure chests there. I've done a lot better now that I found out you can use ANY shield to deflect Guardian lasers, even a pot lid. I got my share of practice in the Forgotten Temple, it's loaded with them. I also killed the Lynel in the coliseum ruins.

2) I did get the Master Sword, I was pretty close with the hearts too. There is a Korok all the way at the top of the Deku Tree, if you haven't tried climbing him.

which fairy fountain's have you found? I got the one I was looking for. Super mad at myself that I didn't find it earlier. The Divine Beasts, since you've done so much with the game like I have, won't be too difficult for you.

1) Now that you've gotten the 12 memories, have you talked to Impa?

2) I learned about that Korok today actually. Also, you can't cut down the Deku Tree with an axe. I tried that.

I have the one near Kakariko, the one near Tarreytown, and one in the west near the colosseum ruins. That place I thought was one just turned out to be the lake where Divine Beast Vah Ruta stays after you defeat it. I still don't know where the last one is, but I'm going on tour to all the small round lakes visible on the map. I did beat all four Divine Beasts now, and I also can do the "Major Test of Strength" easily (I'm guessing the Guardian Resist armor helps with that). One thing I can tell you after actually getting this shrine, is Eventide Island, the southeast-most place on the map. Unless you are trying to get ALL the shrines, or to impress your friends, it is NOT worth it!

1)Yes, I've talked to Impa and found that bonus. I'm still waiting for her to let me have that ball, though! I know where it goes.

I'm now pretty much going to go exploring for
a) that last Fountain,
b) any shrine quests or side-quests that I feel are worth the trouble,
c) interesting landmarks that probably have some type of reward

After all that is done, I'll try to take on Hyrule Castle. By then I'll be more than ready. I already have around 16 Heart Containers and 2+1/5 Stamina Wheels.
Do you know if the Luminous Armor has any kind of effect or bonus, or does it just look cool? I also bought all the Monster Masks. Those are definitely a worthwhile investment.

Also my Miiverse user name is MaoShan.

I'll give you a small hint, there is a side quest (I won't say which one) that will take you directly to the fairy fountain and a shrine. The actual side quest has nothing to do with the fairy fountain so don't expect a side quest that says "find fairy fountain".

I did that Eventide Island quest over the weekend, I actually really liked it. The quest forced you to start from scratch, take everything you've learned about the game and apply it to the island. I'm going for all the shrines, I have about 25 or so left. As of now, I have like... 24 or 25 hearts and 1 4/5 stamina wheels.

If you upgrade the luminous armor set to level 2 (so the mask, shirt & leggings) you blend in with stal enemies, much like the monster masks.

Wow, that's a cool effect, I was wondering what it would do. Kudos to you for trying to get all the shrines. I have 18 hearts and 3 (the max) stamina wheels. I took down a White-maned Lynel (you get a weapon with 78 attack power), and I did finally get that last Fairy Fountain. I'm working on buying the Monster Armor from Kilton, I could probably afford it all but I never sell anything I have less than 10 of.
Eventide Island: ...or, you could bomb the Hinox for a half-hour.
So, still exploring for now. It's getting even more fun, even though the enemies are harder (they are pretty much always Silver Bokoblins now).

...or you could glide onto the belly of the Hinox while it's sleeping, take the sphere and run away. Congrats, you didn't have to fight the Hinox!

I finally beat Breath of the Wild yesterday! I was super overpowered so the final boss was pretty easy. I think the next time I play I'm going to skip all of the divine beasts to give myself more of a challenge.

Congratulations, so did I! I agree, I was MORE than ready, but I'm glad Ganon wasn't so hard, after all the work I put in to get to that point. I had exactly 100 shrines when I finished (sort of by accident, I was really just planning to explore the castle but just got impatient and went for the top), maybe around 120 Korok seeds. I had the Ancient Armor equipped (I didn't get it all upgraded though), and in the process of raiding the castle, I got pretty good at doing perfect guards against the lasers. As for regular Hinoxes, they don't even get a chance to get on their feet before they're dead--I had a lot of Ancient Battle Axe ++ and such. I'm going to complete all the shrines now, but I'm using the strategy guide for the rest. I didn't use it for clues until after I defeated Ganon. Plus, I'm not going to play four hours a night anymore after I should be in bed.
About giving yourself a challenge: In theory, you could go against Ganon armed with only your shorts and a pot lid and still win; you should try THAT!

Also, I don't know how soon it will happen, but I have my eyes set on the DLC Season Pass. There are loads of cool additions, definitely worth the money. Get ready to fight GOLD Lynels, and there is a Korok mask that homes in on hidden Koroks!

if anyone wants to watch people play video games very fast for a good cause, I suggest going to gamesdonequick.com where they are doing their bi-annual GDQ marathon. It goes until Saturday, all money raised benefits Doctors Without Borders

Hello, congratulations on being featured! :)

Congratulations on being featured my friends! I was not aware that NS had Zelda regions very interesting to see

Don't be fooled by the Zelda facade. This region is really about secret experiments on cybernetic organisms.

Hello! I am the Leader of The Most Serene Republic of Staics. I hope that you welcome me with kindness as I would graciously accept?

I've never invested in the stock market.

oh like hell we were featured again and I missed it. I guess I'll wait another two years until it happens again.
