Maethor said to the others, "What am I doing wrong here? Is it the flame, or is it the mould? Surely there is some kind of trick to it?"

Elladan just says: "Elrohir is right" and puts his bracelet on a plate

Maethor spent many hours tending the forge and getting the temperature just as Elrohir had instructed, and making sure his mold lay to rest within ice blocks in the preliminary stages. He placed the bracelet on the plate next to Elladans, and soon thereafter submitting it, he collapsed from exhaustion.

Elladan was soon there helping him to get up

Maethor composed himself. "Thank you Elladan, you have been kind to me, even though I have had a clumsy introduction to Rivendell."

The day was done, and the students now had to return to their new quarters. Maethor asked Elladan, "What is your home like here? Stone and brick is what we have back home, but Rivendell seems so unusual."

Elladan: "this valley is full of what mortal men call magic, although we are no match for Lothlorien. Here things are "ancient", yet unruined and beautiful, time passes without being noticed, though the wise often gather here for a council"

Elladan: Good Day Master Erestor
Dunland and enedwaith

Maethor shared some dried beef with those that accepted it, and he ate the prepared salad; sharing parts of his culture with theirs felt like crossing a divide, and brought them all closer. He also changed his clothes into the more elvish-style garb.
"Does anyone know what our next class will be on, I feel woefully underprepared for all of our tutelage."

"Mithrandir, a familiar name, and one of which my people are friendly, if a little suspicious of - I think I will like this topic."

"It is indeed from the kine of araw, please feel free to take some! I brought plenty in my bag of supplies, and I love sharing all kinds of foods."
As Erestor walked in though, Maethor straightened his back to be as attentive as possible, he knew some of the histories of Vána, being from ranger stock she had inspired many of his people with the natural beauty around them - a Queen of Flowers indeed.

(Glad to see people are enjoying the roleplay opportunity! In The Hobbit, the Wood-elves are not vegetarians. They hunt and eat meat. Chapter 8, Flies and Spiders:

...In the Wide World the Wood-elves lingered in the twilight of our Sun and Moon but loved best the stars; and they wandered in the great forests that grew tall in lands that are now lost. They dwelt most often by the edges of the woods, from which they could escape at times to hunt, or to ride and run over the open lands by moonlight or starlight; and after the coming of Men they took ever more and more to the gloaming and the dusk. Still elves they were and remain, and that is Good People.
In a great cave some miles within the edge of Mirkwood on its eastern side there lived at this time their greatest king. Before his huge doors of stone a river ran out of the heights of the forest and flowed on and out into the marshes at the feet of the high wooded lands. This great cave, from which countless smaller ones opened out on every side, wound far underground and had many passages and wide halls; but it was lighter and more wholesome than any goblin-dwelling, and neither so deep nor so dangerous. In fact the subjects of the king mostly lived and hunted in the open woods, and had houses or huts on the ground and in the branches...

My bad there on the lore too, definitely new to this so it's a good lore and history check!

RP: Maethor silently prepares a booklet of his landscape sketches, forgetting that a presentation of his work was required for these lessons.
