An Asgardian would do me fine.

I just thought of something. If Asgard is a people and not a place anybody could invade their homeland before it got destroyed, say its theirs, and to top it all off Asgard would do nothing. This would definitely not happen in the movies though. Just a thought.

If we're being specific, probably Spock or Yoda. If we're just talking about alien races, probably still a Vulcan or maybe one of those hot Twi'lek things from Star Wars
Ah shoot, why didn't I think of that? I'd much rather meet an Asgardian than a Twi'lek but I think I'd still probably rather meet a Vulcan

Totally the Twi'lek thing they are.... cool to say the least

Question of the Day: If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?

Fencing, probably. None of the others really appeal to me. Well, maybe skiing.... But then probably fencing...
Hm. Skiing, while attempting to fence.... Now that could be a sport....

D v wrote:Question of the Day: If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?

I was going to try to compete in the London Games in the Women's Modern Pentathlon, but a drunk driver ended my chances.

Gymnastics. I'm not a good gymnast but soon I'm going to sign up for gymnastics.

I'm sorry that a drunk driver ended that ever happening.

It was the worst time of my life, but life goes on and we make the best of what we are given.

One of those green-skinned Orion girls from Star Trek.

Though my face wouldn't be in her face, actually...

Hmm, not sure. Skeet shooting, maybe? Or perhaps fencing as well. I took a year of it in middle school and was rather good. Maybe bobsledding, just because... well, bobsledding.

FENCING WOHO!

The Modern Pentathlon includes Fencing, Shooting, Equestrian, Swimming and X-Country Running. Basically the skills that a Napoleonic Era Courrier needed.

Question of the Day: If you had to be stranded, would you rather be stranded on a mountain deep in a forest and miles from even the most remote signs of civilization, or stranded on an island in the middle of a vast, vast, ocean?

Mountain.

Also Mountain. I'm afraid of the ocean so... I'd rather avoid it.

I'd pick the Mountains. Kinda like where I was brought up in.

Mountain as well. The first impression I had from the ocean bruised me.

Question of the Day: What is the most inspiring quote you've ever heard?

Huh.... I've got a couple that've made me think pretty deep. Ironically, from TV and video games.

Listing them below using the quote function. And also putting myself as the quoted, since quote tags don't work without a person and a post, apparently.
Quotes applied to the characters in the media, since I don't exactly have a way to know who the person behind the screen was dictating them.

D v wrote:"In order to surive, all living things in this world fight desperately and devour those they defeat...
Must one kill other living things in order to survive?
Must one destroy another world in orther to allow one's own world to continue?
The wounded in turn wound and torment those weaker than they themselves are...
There are only the killers and the killed...
The sinners, who are judged, and the victims that do the judging...
What meaning is there to such a world?"

-Dragon God, from the game Chrono Cross.
While the quote itself more or less was a reflection of events in the game.... It certainly applies outside it well enough. That one has more or less shaped my outlook and view of the world since I was like 8. And even now, I continue to reflect on it. Though I have others that I like quite a lot - they'd all tie for #2, while this slides into #1.

D v wrote:"Power flows to the one who knows how. Desire alone is not enough."

-Megatron, from Transformers Generation 1.
Another one I've come to live by from a younger age. Just too true.

D v wrote:“Those who cannot acknowledge themselves will eventually fail.”

-Itachi, from Naruto.
It's been very relatable, having watched my Mom constantly tear into her own efforts. Have watched others tear into themselves as well - but none quite as ferociously as she does. More or less, I've also been less hard on myself since hearing this one.

I now forget every inspiring quote that I have ever heard.

D v wrote:Question of the Day: What is the most inspiring quote you've ever heard?.

Hmmm... first ones that come to mind are actually pretty juvenile, but I like it.

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind." -Dr. Seuss
"Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you." -Dr. Seuss

I'm sure I'll come up with better ones later. But at the moment this is what I've got haha
Honestly, just learning to accept yourself and better yourself is one of the most inspiring things, in my mind.

Question of the Day: If you had to come face to face with any alien from science fiction, which would you pick?
The Sithari, or any of their descended offshoots.

Question of the Day: If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?
I was on track to go to the Olympic Trials for swimming

Question of the Day: If you had to be stranded, would you rather be stranded on a mountain deep in a forest and miles from even the most remote signs of civilization, or stranded on an island in the middle of a vast, vast, ocean?
depends on if i get a forest in both locations. If yes, island cause less likely for more people to show up, if no, mountain cause easier to live freely without trying to escape

NS doesn't like my quote cause of language, but i trust all of you to be big boys and girls so here's a link
yes this is a real quote, yes its fantastic. Not really inspiring in the traditional sense of "hoorah you can do it" but it basically means adapt with your environment cause if you fight your circumstances instead of using them, you won't get anywhere

quick edit: this post took me like 20 minutes to write because ns kept flagging my quote as inappropriate

Question of the Day: What time of the day are you most productive?

12am to 5am, usually. Sometimes 11pm to 5am.
I get more done then than any other timeframe. And generally than in the rest of the day combined.
