You can do it in arctic tundra, or an arid desert - but may not leave the area you pick for any reason, or you forfeit the prize. Would you do it, and if so, which would you choose?

I would choose the Arctic Tundra. I'm kind used to that type of landscape and ecosystem where I was raised as a child.

Who's the Sov. of Aether? Also, I'm thinking about it. Might take me awhile to, though.

on the QOTD: desert, its too ez honestly for either option but been there done that in the desert so i know whats what, and also the desert doesn't really go through seasonal changes where literally everything disappears for six months.

How do you live in a desert, like what do you do for food? Also, would the temperature extremes of the desert (hot in day, cold at night) outweigh the seasonal shifts of tundra in terms of survivability? If you saved enough resources in the good months if tundra you could basically hibernate, so to speak.

(QOTD)

I'd do it, and I'd choose the Cold. Why I'd choose the cold is; I'm a sadomasochist. I don't mind freezing my keister off, or cavedwelling, or essentially reliving the Stone Age/Prehistoric Times.

The difference is the desert has animals and plants consistently, consistently sparse but consistent. The tundra however loses its animals and majority of edible parts of plants for part of the year. You don't really have a chance to stockpile resources in either environment. With the temperature extremes of the desert you would just need a way to stay warm during the night and shade during the hottest parts of the day as well as a source of water. With the tundra, you can't work too hard at any given point or you will sweat then freeze to death cause you get wet, you have to find a way to stay warm the whole time while never getting too warm and dealing with a complete lack of resources. It's doable, just much harder

I'm the Sovereign of Aether. Though I may not be very active here on the RMB or on discord. But before I go off track, you are free to join House Aether if you wish.

If we want to join a house is asking on discord okay or is it just RMB?

Discord and/or a telegram or private message is preferable, because it can easily get buried in the RMB.

Question of the Day: If you had to choose to never see the sky again, or to never see another body of water again, which would you choose?

The sky is over rated.
Edit: Well, except at night, when it's starry n stuff. But there's so few places to see a good night sky anymore, without making it a point of going there. =/
But then again I like the moon too...
...OK, the day time sky is over rated, but the night sky is cool enough I'm just gonna say good bye to bodies of water.

Never see another BoW again (QOTD)

I'd not see the sky again. I just think everything is bad and when I look at the sky I feel like I will die soon.

Sounds kinda dramatic, but okay.

Hello there peeps! In regards to the poll I had posted:

The reasoning behind it was that I was looking to see where the opinions lay (as with all polls duh), specifically regarding this issue because it has been a growing problem in the wake of COVIS-19. Following the outbreak within China many people have been buying medical masks to protect themselves from the infection. Whilst this may work if you're in close proximity to anyone who has been infected, pre-emptively buying them is not something you should do. Because of the giant increase in the sales of these masks there has been a severe shortage in the supply of these. This has led to people within the affected regions China and medical professionals worldwide (including hospitals) to not have enough of these available. This has the effect that medical professionals may have to work without this protection as there simply aren't enough of these masks to go around.

Aside from this the most common masks, ones that you most often see people wearing, are not intended to actually be used to safeguard yourself from such a virus. They do offer some amount of protection but don't protect an individual fully. These masks are also better used for patients as it keeps the virus from spreading by keeping it behind the mask itself, or would offer some protection to medical professionals who have a far higher chance of having to deal with it during emergencies.

This article can be viewed for free and is one I quickly Googled to add to this message. But of course you should not just use this as your source of information. I would suggest watching a video on COVIS-19 on the YouTube channel DoctorMike (which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0QHWhjbe5fGJEPz3sVb6nw ), he offers information on a semi-regular basis on the virus and has made 3 videos on it already. And that'll be all, enjoy your weekend everyone!

Question of the Day: Do you prefer rural or urban living?

Rural. City and town are just not for me. More rural is preferable to slightly urban.

----

Anyways, I'll be out for a few days, so someone else (Probably Renaria) will hopefully be taking over the QoTD in the meantime.

Urban. I live in a suburban area. Nothing really gets crowded in the area I live in.

Urban. I'd choose it any day of the week.

I currently live in Tokyo, and I love it. When I lived in Australia, I lived in rural places (coastal town, and a small farming town), and there was nothing for me to do. I love the noise of the city.

Probably just messed up their formatting. So many brackets to keep track of.

When you quoted D V, D V said he or shewould live in a urban area. When I did D V said he or she would live in a rural area. I'm just pointing this out.

I'm not actually the one who messed up the quoting, I was just taking a guess as to what happened. Just an fyi. I think they typed out their response in the quote area as opposed to as their own comment.

Question of the Day: If you could learn any language(s) from a foreign nation, what language(s) would you learn and why?

I would probably learn German and Hungarian, because the sound of their languages when spoken sound elegant to my ears, so I wouldn't mind being trilingual.

Assuming it was just magically know it, all of them. If I have to put in the work, then there really isn't a language I don't know that I want to learn. Requires too much effort and I already accidentally go between the ones I know so learning more would just mess me up even further
