Marine Corps to undergo major changes, focus on amphibious operations

The Union Marine Corps is on the verge of its first major reorganization in a century, one that will position the Union’s premier amphibious force to land on any potential foes doorstep.
The Marines will organize into smaller units while retaining their current size as mandated by the National Defense Act of 2018 and be capable of operating across vast distances, seizing low-lying coastal regions, islands and even artificial island bases. The revamp will see the Marines trade in their tanks, artillery, and even some F-35s in return for long-range missiles, unmanned boats, and anti-ship weapons. Those tanks and artillery systems that will be removed from the Marine Corps inventory will instead be transfer to the Army's inventory and replaced with the M8 Buford Light Tank and the the few F-35s that will be removed be given to the Air Force in return for a few dozen A-20 Avenger Ground Attack Bombers. Sources in the Defense Department revealed the Marines’ plan to reorient from essentially a second land army to concentrate on amphibious operations in the Asia-Pacific. The Marines have fought alongside the Army in several land based operations over the past decade or more, some of those regions being landlocked. The Marines will organize three littoral regiments, each capable of operating along coastlines or across island archipelagos. The Marines plan to conduct island-hopping campaigns with a new Light Amphibious Warship (LAW), a long-range amphibious ship capable of carrying a company or more of Marines thousands of miles. The LAWs won’t have much room for heavy equipment, and most of the gear, like 155-millimeter howitzers and main battle tanks, won’t be all that useful for taking over small islands, anyway but the Marine Corps will make use of the lighter and smaller Buford Light Tank, which is still fitted with a 105mm gun but is lighter and can be easier to transport on the future LAWs though the Navy will aid in transporting most of the Marine's heavy equipment. Under the new plan, the Marine Corps will totally divest itself of law enforcement and tank battalions, slash artillery cannon batteries from 21 to just five, reduce amphibious vehicle companies from six to four, and cut the number of helicopter and tilt-rotor squadrons. Reductions in artillery, tanks, and other weapons will allow the Marines to invest in other weapons, particularly 14 new Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS). These batteries, armed with Norwegian-developed Naval Strike Missiles, will allow the Marines to fend off Chinese warships, making a 115-mile no-go zone around Marine positions.

As the Marines advance through a chain of islands, their anti-air and anti-ship missiles will make it increasingly difficult for enemy ships and aircraft to operate around them, eventually squeezing them out entirely.

The Marines will also procure over 100 Long Range Unmanned Surface Vessels (LRSUV), among other systems. Equipped with sensors and weapons, LRSUVs could circle islands held by enemy forces, identifying troop concentrations and then bombarding them with precision weapons. This would be a smaller-scale, more focused version of the large naval bombardments of World War II, when hundreds of ships would hurtle thousands of tons of unguided artillery shells against targets on islands like Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The Navy however has reported that due to the advances made in gunnery, the Navy's railgun warships and guided missile battleships will be able to aid the Marine Corps new LRSUV systems. Overall, the aim of the Marines’ new littoral concept is to complement a war at sea by taking over enemy positions on land. The Marines would systematically isolate, bombard, and overrun enemy networks of artificial islands in the South China Sea and Western Pacific, and then set up air defense and anti-ship batteries to make the space around them hostile to enemy shipping. This would restrict the enemy's room to maneuver, pushing them out into the open water—where the Union Navy would take them on.
The Marines’ new operating concept might be too light to operate against heavily mechanized enemies, however, like those of Donau-bundesreich and the Cccp- And while the Marines will have the M8 Buford and no shortage of tank-killing firepower, they’ll lack tanks capable of slugging it out with other tanks, especially when advancing into territory against tank-heavy forces. If that happens, the Marines say they’ll request tank support from Army units. However, some in Congress wish for the Corps to retain at least two battalion or more of the new M7A1 Grant Main Battle Tanks and the Marine Corp Commandant has stated he will conduct a review and if possible, retain 4 armored battalions for the M7 Grants the Corps is starting to receive.

GENE THERAPY INJECTED INTO EYEBALL RESTORES BLIND PATIENT’S VISION

A blind patient regained their vision for over a year after getting a single injection of an experimental gene therapy directly into their eye.

The treatment uses RNA molecules that can infiltrate cells and reverse a specific mutation linked to Leber congenital amaurosis, an eye disease that causes blindness early in life, according to research published Thursday in the journal Nature Medicine. And interestingly, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine researchers behind the treatment discovered its long-term effects largely by accident.

The mutation behind Leber congenital amaurosis prevents cells from producing the CEP290 protein, which is crucial for the eye’s photoreceptor cells. The treatment sneaks RNA into those cells and triggers CEP290 production, essentially reversing the mutation for months at a time.

The researchers first tested out this gene therapy in 2019, according to a press release on the study, in an earlier experiment where patients were injected every three months. Those patients saw continual improvement in their eyesight because the RNA was repeatedly replenished. But one participant only got the initial injection and then backed out over concerns about potential side effects.

And what a lucky break that they did. The new study focuses on that patient alone and shows that the restored eyesight actually peaked two full months after the injection and lasted for over 15 months — long-term trends that were masked by the other patients’ repeated treatments.

As the study authors explain in the press release, that’s a great sign for this specific treatment and the field of RNA-based gene therapies at large. Longer-lasting benefits would not only potentially drive down the medical bills associated with repeated injections but give scientists working on other conditions a promising avenue to explore for their own gene therapies.

Far eastern union of soviet republics

Party Rescript of the People's Sacred Duties

Members of the valorous Far Eastern Unionist Party, brave soldiers of the People's Defense Force, loyal citizens of the Far Eastern Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, this rescript will be your life. It will guide you to the ends of the earth. It will be a key component of your education. It must be memorised, for it will be the most important document you will ever know. Whether we can guard the vast Union and prove ourself worthy of our Ancestors' blessings depends upon the faithful discharge of your duties, listed here, as workers of this great nation. If the majesty and power of our eternal Union be impaired, you will inevitably share with us all sorrows; if the glory of the Union shines brightly, you will also share with us riches and honour. If all do their duties, act as one with cohesion in spirit, and do your utmost for the protection of the Union, our people will long enjoy the blessings of peace. Your children will enjoy wondrous educations and a plentiful environment. Your spouses will enjoy a safe society. As such, our fellow comrades, our Supreme Leader, Eternal Revolutionary Leader, and the Shining Star of the Paektusan and Mount Atlasov gives to you the following precepts:

    1. All must consider loyalty their essential duty. All must be strong in spirit. One who is not strong in spirit, however skilled in art or proficient in science, is a mere puppet; and a body of soldiers wanting in loyalty, however well ordered and disciplined they are, is no better than a rabble. Remember that, as the protection of the state and the maintenance of its power depend upon the strength of its arms, the growth or decline of this strength must affect the nation’s destiny for good or for evil. Therefore, we must all with a single heart fulfil our essential duty of loyalty, and bear in mind that duty is weightier than a mountain, while death is lighter than a feather. We must continuously keep ourselves strong, as to protect ourselves and the ones around us. No one shall be jostled around by foreigners like the previous century.

    2. All should show the respect and obediance due to your fellow man, for we are not one, but we are many. Each human is nothing without our parents, our society, our teachers, and others to act on our behalf. Considerations must be shown to the Party, for it will always take a role of leadership to ensure your ability to improve and thrive in modern society.

    3. All should esteem valor and honor. Those who are incited by impetuosity to violent action cannot be called valororous. All must have a sound discrimination of right and wrong, cultivate self- possession, and form their plans with deliberation. None shall despise an inferior enemy or fear a superior, but all shall do their duties as workers of the state, as masters of the nation. This is true valor.

    4. The soldier must value faithfulness and righteousness. Faithfulness implies the keeping of one’s word, and righteousness the fulfillment of one’s duty. Ever since ancient times, there have been tales of great figures who, overwhelmed by misfortune, perished and left a tarnished name simply because they failed to discern right and wrong with reference to fundamental principles. We must not ever lose sight of the true path of public duty, and we must keep faith in the nation, each other, and to our divine Sovereign. This is the way.

    5. All will make simplicity their aim. If you do not make simplicity your aim, you will become effeminate and frivolous and acquire fondness for luxurious and extravagant ways; you will finally grow selfish and sordid and sink to the last degree of baseness, so that neither loyalty nor valor will avail to save you from the contempt of the world.

    6. Members of the Party must uphold its revolutionary program, observe the provisions of the State and Party Constitution, fulfil one's duties with unyielding integrity, carry out its decisions, strictly observe Party discipline, guard the Party's secrets with their lives, serve the people loyally, fight for Juche throughout one's entire life, be ready at all times to sacrifice all for the Party and the people, and never betray the Party. Admission to the sacred institution known as the Party is for life. It is an honour, a privilege, but also a service to your communities.

These articles should not be disregarded even for a moment by all. The all important element is sincerity. These five articles are our souls, and represent our ethos. If the heart is not sincere, words and deeds, however good, are all mere outward show and can avail nothing. If only the heart is sincere, can anything can be accomplished. These five articles are our Union's pathway to success, and as the universal law of humanity, are designed to be easy to practice. If you, in obedience to socialist instruction, observe and practice these principles and fulfil your duty of grateful service to the country, it will be a source of joy not to yourself, but to all the people who rely on you of our eternal Union.

All must remember, the Union is a state made for the people, by the people. Only man can determine the direction of its destiny, and we must field the forces at our disposal to ensure a prosperous one.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs

A General Travel Advisory has been placed on the Far eastern union of soviet republics due to internal struggles in the past several years relating to civil war.

Additionally the government is believed to be engaged in potentially inhumane and ethically challenging practices such as the removal of bones from corpses already buried for human based fertilizer and reportedly human based energy creation.

These reports are being looked into, but nonetheless we are requesting all Hellenic citizens avoid travel to the FEUSSR.

- Jakarta would like to warmly welcome The republic of dhan and The mashriq khilafat as full fledged members of the Asian Union. We here in Indonesia are looking forwards greatly to the future knowing that the growing Asian Union brings together diverse and great nations from across the Asian continent in efforts to more efficiently coordinate and collaborate to bring about lasting peace and prosperity for the peoples of our nations. Additionally, Jakarta would like to extend a warm welcome to Infiny for entering into the Asian Union as a strategic partner - Indonesia is looking forwards greatly to a warm future and to seeing what our friends across the Indian Ocean may achieve when harmoniously working with the Asian Union to preserve a more global peace.

- Following the resounding success of Didi's launch in Singapura, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang, the Smart Transportation system originating in the Far eastern union of soviet republics, the company is looking to expand into other major Indonesian cities. The first on the list that Didi will be coming to are: Batam, Medan, Palembang, Surubaya, Bandung, and Samarinda for testing in more congested cities. Should Didi's Smart Transportation expansion be a success, the aforementioned cities will begin testing Didi's Smart Transportation Brain in allocated sections of cities to see if it assists in lowering traffic congestion and aids in a more efficient flow of traffic, in attempts to emulate results achieved in the Northern Asian nation.

- The Far Eastern Communications Construction Company (FEC3) has announced that it would invest and help construct the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore high speed railway (HSR), reducing travel times between the two major cities from 4.5 hours to merely 1.5. Plans estimate the construction costs at $28 billion USD, 70% of which will be taken on by the FEC3. The project would also require the construction of a brand-new line with dedicated tracks, allowing trains to travel at least 270 km/h. Construction is expected to last for 7 years, with final testing and commissioning to occur after the eighth year. The FEC3 has also collaborated with RAKEX regulators to permit FEUSSR retail investors to invest in the project, which would raise an additional $100 million USD by the end of the year. The Indonesian government also acquired domestic production licenses from FEC3 to produce 20 trainsets of the Fuxing FR400AF–A rolling stock, a 16-car production model with capacity for 1,190 passengers. It is the world's fastest conventional high speed train in regular service, with a operating speed of 350 km/h.

In addition to the Kuala Lumpur to Singapura railway connection, FEC3 has announced its backing of the Jakarta-Bandung project, connecting the two cities 142km apart via high speed rail. However, with construction already 60% completed and land acquisition recently reaching 100% completion. In total this project has cost $5.5 billion USD and is scheduled to be completed in 1.5 years time. Furthermore, Jakarta is looking into a revitalization project targeting the Jakarta-Surabaya railway, looking into upgrading the existing rails to high speed in order to decrease travel time between the two major cities at opposite ends of Java. Currently officials are conducting assessments to determine the feasibility of this project and the associated costs.

- Jakarta extends its heartfelt condolences to both The Confederation of Indochinese States (Vashnal) and Far Eastern Union of Soivet Republics for the untimely deaths of Chairman Mailam and Kum Jung-In's brother, Nam-chol. Nam-chol was assassinated in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport recently, attacked by several masked assailants whom smothered his face with a cloth laden in VX Nerve Agent before fleeing the scene. Officials responded moments later, attempting to take Nam-chol to a nearby hospital where he passed away a mere 17 minutes later; meanwhile police hunted down the masked assailants immediately. While Indonesian officials at first did not make any statements initially, Jakarta's silence was broken moments ago as they released more details on the situation.

Police scoured Kuala Lumpur for hours after the initial attack and called in for further assistance, resulting in Jakarta dispatching numerous Dai Li agents to the scene, with their 43 minute search ending just outside of Kuala Lumpur in nearby Putrajaya, the administrative capital of the Peninsular Malaysia region. Dai Li agents reported the assailants were detained en route to an unknown destination, with the use of roadspikes and firearms needed to halt their speeding vehicle. Forcibly removing the assailants from the vehicle, they were neutralized, placed into Dai Li custody and searched. There were no signs of identification of any type to be located, leaving their identities a mystery - they are being transported to Jakarta for interrogation and details will be released upon any findings.

Armed Forces of The Republic of Indonesia - CLASSIFIED

Standardisation Underway

Falling in line with the military equipment standardisation act set forth by the Asian Union, in order to comply with regulatory checks, the Indonesian Armed Forces is pleased to announce that PHASE 1 of standardisation across the nation is neatly complete. The replacement of the cartridges for all rifles, assault rifles, battle rifles, etc., and re-tooling/replacement of said weapon systems to be compatible with the 5.8x42mm AU is well underway and due to be completed as on schedule with the one year time frame allotted by the Asian Union.

Further Details:
- 5.8x42mm ISA (5.8x42mm AU) - rimless bottlenecked intermediate cartridge will serve as the backbone of the AU's standardisation process, as its flatter trajectory, higher penetration, high extraction reliability, and superior performance at longer ranges while simultaneously adding on soft-tissue damage capabilities will permit our troops to make use of a superior type of ammunition.

- 8x60mm AU is meant to replace machine gun rounds such as the 7.62x54mmR or the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. The 9x19mm cartridge will also replace similar pistol/SMG cartridges, due to its wide availability.

Construction on Phase 6 is expected to be completed five years after Phase 5.

Phase 7, also known as Northern HSR Phase 2, will take the Phitsanulok-Chiang Mai route. Operational speed of this phase will be equal to the previous two phases. The total length of this phase is expected to stand at 288km (179mi). The total cost of this phase will be 71,374,926,150,000 CFU (7,755,000,000 USD). Construction on Phase 7 is expected to complete four years after Phase 6.

The final phase, Phase 8, also known as Southern HSR Phase 2, will take the Hua Hin-Padang Besar route. Operational speed of this route will stand like the previous three routes at 300km/h. The total length of this phase is expected to be 759km (472mi) making is the longest route in the proposal. The route is also the most expensive of the phases as it is estimated to cost 132,763,805,250,000 CFU (14,425,000,000 USD). Construction on this phase is expected to be completed one year after Phase 7.

Phases 2 through 8 are still in the planning stage and Phase 1 is the only phase that is being physically acted upon at this time. Due to the estimated costs, certain phases will be pushed back a year on their start date instead of all phases being constructed at once. The entire HSR proposal is expected to be completed in a total of 16 years. Announcements of each phase of each Phase will be given out when the time comes. Chairman Khan I signed off on the passed proposal which was approved with 412 FOR and 131 AGAINST.

FECAUFI announces new round of investments for Duma

SHENCHENG — The FECAUFI consortium has announced a new round of investments that would be specially tailored for the nation of Duma.

One of the notable investments will include a $1 billion USD investment into Foxconn, Duma's premier multinational electronics contract manufacturer. Most recently, the company drew more than 1,200 companies from across the world to an inaugural event, wherein it made plans to start manufacturing electric vehicles by moving toward a new business model. The sudden shift from making electronics such as phones to entire cars has won much interest, particularly by the FEUSSR's premier EV company NIO, which has signed an MOU with the company to construct a manufacturing plant in the city of Dali. The plant, which will serve as a joint venture between the two companies, will manufacture 11,000 NIO-branded EVs annually. The $100 million USD plant will open within 3 years, just in time to produce the ET7 and ET5 sedans, which are expected to roll into production by then.

FECAUFI has also inked a new agreement with NIO, injecting $500 million USD into the company in exchange for a 15% stake. Other companies receiving capital investments from FECAUFI include TSMC and UMC, both of which are receiving a handsome $250 million USD investment.

Another major project undertaken by FECAUFI will be the Shen-Zhou Megabridge project, a $25 billion USD spanning a total distance of 45.74 kilometers. The bridge runs from a pre-existing segment of the Hulu Expressway down to Daishan County, with exits leading to Huxiaoshe Island, Qushanzhen (Daoqu Mountain), before it terminates at Daishan Island. There, pre-existing road links lead to the south, where the southern segment begins. The southern segment will be 2.63 kilometers long and a project to be undertaken on Duma's side, which connects Xiushan Island to the mainland. The northern segment will be undertaken by FECAUFI. Once the bridge is open, the key beneficiary will be the people currently living on those islands, who will be able to experience faster commute times and more connected roadside trade. Additionally, the bridge is expected to lay the foundation for future projects along its route, including a planned formation of sluice gates aimed at preventing violent flooding. The project will be complete in 12 years, with the cost burden to be spread out along said 12 years on a 50-50 rate with Duma .

Ever committed to bettering the lives of its fellow Asian peoples, FECAUFI has unveiled a $50 million USD plan to bring 5G internet to 400 rural settlements which currently lack internet connections. Samsung will manufacture its 5G telecom kits, which will then be shipped to Duma for final assembly and installation. This additionally includes the Southern Farmer's Assistance Scheme, a means-tested welfare programme operated by FECAUFI wherein over $25,000,000 USD worth of subsidies will be given to rural farmers and agronomists to help purchase new equipment, pursue education, or upgrade their facilities.

Aden, The Yemeni State

Yusef sat in his apartment, as he thought of what had happened. He looked at the poster on his wall, “الديمقراطية الآن!” it said, democracy now. Even before the death of al Beidh, he had been one of the few who took to the street to voice his demand to the socialist administration in charge. He reminisced of those days, where he and his friends would stand up for what was right.

But now those days where long gone, and when the dust of the revolution had settled, he did not find himself happy, elated, or freed. Not in the slightest. He looked out the window as he saw a large smoke cloud coming from the shores. Another bombardment, by whatever toy it is they have taken out this time, he thought to himself, disillusioned. The revolution that he and his peers had so hopefully started seven years ago had been taken from them quickly, appropriated, by those who saw nothing but an opportunity to get power, in name of whatever ideology they claimed to represent.

“Seven years ago... lord. Has it really been that long?”

He walked to the fridge, got some soda he had left, and turned up the radio. Maybe he was able to get a signal from anywhere, a Masriqi or Infinian channel perhaps. He had no idea what was going on anymore. The constant explosions gave him the impression that the war had far from concluded, but the exact status of control and fronts? No clue.

But to his surprise, he did not hear either of those. Instead, he heard coverage in what he clearly recognized as being Yemeni Arabic. But who was able to broadcast right now? The quality was unusually high. Was it from here?

“No longer shall our....”

Static again. He clearly only caught the ending of whatever speech whoever was giving. He walked away. He didn’t have any internet, no television, nothing. Maybe get some sleep, and hope tomorrow would be a brighter day. He walked outside his small living chamber, into his bedroom.

“the stain of socialism on our god-fearing brethren will be removed! ALL...”

He turned. So it was them. This was not good.

APR04-2021-HEL-01
Request for Election of & establishment of The General-Secretary of The United Assembly of Nations & the Establishment of a board of advisors of the United Assembly of Nations
The Confederation of Hellas
Representative Alexandra Kanelou

To the General Assembly, Labyrnna has done, since the inception of this body, great work in sending representatives to serve as the head of this body. However now we must choose from among the nations a new leader to help guide the UAN and make it more prevalent in affairs.

The UAN has an opportunity here. For the first time since the League of Nations, the world has convened together a body dedicated towards peace. However this body could be doing much more in regards to areas such as science, health, educational outreach, and diplomacy. The quality of life with the help of the UAN, could improve for the average person of the global community.

Therefore, as a representative of the The Confederation of Hellas, I propose the creation of the General-Secretary, to serve as the executive leader of this organization and to help determine in broad stroke the long term goals of this organization, and to focus on the short term in front of it.

Powers of the General-Secretary may include the determination of proposals for debate and discussion, voting, the creation of special commissions, the ability to call emergency meetings of the General Assembly and the ability to call an emergency meeting of the UAN Security Council. They would also serve as a coordinator for combined security forces if such an entity is created.

To assist the General-Secretary a board of advisors from the General Assembly member nations would be created to help issue guidance in times when the General-Secretary needs assistance, and will serve strictly as an advisory role.

The Board of Advisors would be made up of 3 member nations to be selected by the General-Secretary and would be voted with majority approval by the member nations in the General Assembly.

The goal of this proposal is ultimately to get the UAN to refocus and become an entity in the global community with a strong voice, and to help increase the quality of life in nations globally, and to guide the UAN into being a productive global entity.

LH scandal: 112 indicted and convicted

KUM-SOK CITY — 112 have been indicted and convicted in the Chosun SSR High Court, following a series of arrests and investigations related to the Chosun Land and Housing Corporation employee land speculation scandal.

Several months ago, 50 LH officials were arrested by the MOI-PIS, with 20 of them under investigation for insider speculation and purchase of farmland in two cities. They had done this prior to the public announcement of the Chosun SSR People's Government's plans to develop said pieces of land into housing developments last month, having attempted to sell the land at higher prices to score record profits. The MOI-PIS and MOI-PSF seized a total of $150 million USP in bribes, made in various forms of currencies such as bills, cheques, equities, bullion, cars, paintings, horses, and so on. Additionally, the Censorate confiscated over 5,000 hectares of land leases, valued at $2.6 billion USD - one of its largest seizures in history. The investigation's scale has also expanded to cover 62 other employees of the Chosun SSR People's Government, along with private land vendors and others who colluded in this scheme.

The 112 have been sentenced to varying sentences, from 100 beatings and asset confiscations, to 2 to 60 years of exile in the northern peripheries.

KUNMING - The third phase of a silicon-based photovoltaic project was launched in Yunnan province in southwestern China, with an investment of approximately 2.5 billion yuan (approximately $ 382 million). Local authorities have declared it.
According to Daqo New Energy, one of the leading companies in the photovoltaic sector, the new phase that will be developed in Lijiang City aims to produce high-efficiency monocrystalline silicon rods, with the capacity to generate 10 gigawatts (GW) of energy each year.
This part of the project follows the previous two, which were built in the same city in 2016 and 2018 respectively, each with an annual capacity of 6 GW per year.
The company said the new phase of the project will create more than 6,000 jobs.
High purity monocrystalline silicon is mainly used in the production of photovoltaic cells and semiconductors. Yunnan's rich hydroelectric resources are important for the production of this material.

Official press release from the Ministry of Transport and Communications

The construction of the Chinese part of the bridge will be entrusted to Continental Engineering Corporation, a leading construction company that will participate in 50% of the cost of the project, or 12.5 billion dollars over 12 years.

Construction of the nuclear power plant invested by the China Power Corporation in Wenchang, Hainan province in southern China, has begun.

With an estimated investment of 36.85 billion yuan ($ 5.62 billion), the plant will be the most expensive project in Hainan.

On the same day, the Atomic Energy Council granted construction license for the project, noting that the company's first pressurized water nuclear reactor is ready to open.

The construction period is expected to last 60 months (260 days RL) and the project should be put into operation approximately one year after completion.

The project was listed as one of Hainan's major projects this year. And the planned capacity is 18 billion kWh per year, which means it will reduce consumption by 5.5 million tons of coal and lower CO2 emissions by 13 million tons per year.

ChinaPower is Hainan's largest energy project investor as the company's total investment in the province has exceeded 30 billion yuan and all invested projects have generated 2 trillion kWh of electricity now.

3 SOM missiles make contact in different parts of the city. One hits a now abandoned warehouse, causing massive damage and starting fires.

The second hits a highway that had been utilized as a staging area for Hellenic Units moving into the Ottoman Republic. Five civilians die in the explosion and rendering a portion of the highway unusable until it can be repaired.

The third missile hits its position, but it is not a military target, rather a hospital home to 50 patients and an outpatient clinic. A portion of the structure is blown apart, and a massive fire starts.

Fire fighters and rescue units move to the scene, and confirm 32 dead civilians and 78 people injured severely are reported.

The Asian Union is pleased to announce it will formally admit The republic of dhan into its hallowed halls. Fellow members of the Union have ratified Dhan's accession protocol for AU as its 5th full member state, and 7th official participant.

We request that the esteemed Republic name 2 representatives to the Alliance: one for the Asian Command (AC), and one for the Asian Cooperation Council (ACC) to facilitate future actions. We also ask that Dhan be prepared to undertake the proper military standardization procedures; if needed, fellow members of the AU will lend assistance in helping modernise and improve the Republic's military infrastructure.

Dhan's accession will also make it a privileged member of the Asian Union Economic Relations (AUER), allowing for free trade and the fluid movement of goods, people, and currency, all of which will substantially boost Dhan's inter-AU FDI inflows, trade, and employment.

Long Live the Unwavering Friendship between Asian Peoples!

Enclosed Response

It is with great honor that we take on the tasks necessary to involve ourselves in the collective power of the Asian continent. The Republic will send General
Nawaf Karimi as our representative to Asian Command. The Republic will send our Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Melika Salehi, as our representative to the Asian Cooperation Council. Our lasting civil war against the oppressive regime that ruled our people for many years has left our military inventory in disarray. Our Minister of Defense continues his goal of taking into account all the various military assets left to us from the previous regime and our own fighters. It will be a long process so we require patience.

Internal Report: Kurdish Uprising in the East
not for release

Kurdish forces led by Alaz Doman have gained a significant advantage in the Eastern portion of the Ottoman Republic. Over 80,000 Kurdish Guard Forces have swept through towns and villages to Sanlurfa to Malatya.

The Hellenic National Army has begun supplying these forces with equipment to continue this push, allowing Marines in the Eastern portion to be freed up. An estimated 70% of the Eastern Territory is under direct Kurdish Control.

Calls for a Kurdish Government to be established in the area have existed for sometime now, and for the first time it does not seem far off.

In the north from Trabzon to Kars Armenian forces have also been participating, but not at such a large scale.

Internally, the Ottoman Forces remain a threat. Fighting persists, and sections of the western theatre are stalled, and could be stalled for some time. Over 9 months into this conflict, and unfortunately no end seems to be coming, but a light at the end of the tunnel is forming thanks to the Kurds and General Alaz Doman.

Mousepacalypse? Mass Mouse Infestation Plagues Eastern States of Aozhou

After being battered by wildfires and then torrential floods, the states of the eastern coast of Aozhou are facing another plague: millions upon millions of mice.

The epicenter of the infestation is in rural New South Wales, and while this may seem minor at face value, the extreme infestation across regional Aozhou has very real, and serious consequences.

“My entire summer crop has been wiped out,” said Matthew Henson, a cotton farmer in the Tablelands. “We are basically having to cut out losses and hope for the best.”

The devastation to farms and ranches has been so bad that New South Wales Premier Maggie Liu (Nationalist Party (NSW Branch) has declared a state of emergency in some areas of regional NSW and is promising financial aid to farmers affected.

Aside from the harmful effects of regional agriculture, NSW Health official Dr. Sanjay Pradesh warns that close contact with wild mice could put people at risk for contracting zoonotic diseases. Though the likelihood is still low, NSW Health has already reported at least one case of lymphatic choriomeningitis, a rare infection associated with close contact with mice.

The type of mouse involved in the current infestation, the house mouse, is not indigenous to Aozhou, but was introduced by early European settlers. Henry Fang of the National University of Aozhou at Canberra explains “While the scale of the present infestation is notably larger than we are used to, rural Aozhou does typically have cycles of mouse population booms every 5-10 years. A variety of climate and weather factors can play a role in leading to the boom, but it will likely resolve itself naturally as the mouse population becomes unsustainable and the population level drops off once again, restarting the cycle.”
