Oh good, another election. Sigh. Sometimes, being a Reichskanzler is a thankless job. Thank you to the AE Party which is making the Reichstag ungovernable. We just had elections three months ago!
[Dresden, 07 OCT 28] Reichsprasident President Jason dissolved the 15th Alberstadt Reichstag today despite the protest of the liberal parties and set the next Reichstag election for 02 December. Reichskanzler Haliwell presented the decree in the familiar red attache case to Reichstag President Erich Deinstar, who announced it during the working meeting in Dresden this afternoon.
The reichsprasident noted that the Reichstag had failed to pass the federal budget, failed to pass immigration quotas, and could not come to an agreement on the World Assembly bill---which the reichsprasident noted made the Reichstag ineffective and unable to function. Both the SDS and the SPD voiced objection but failed to generate enough votes to override the dissolution.
In accordance with the Reichsverfassung, new elections for the Reichstag must take place within 60 days. The Reichsprasident has set new elections for the first Monday in December.
The Reichstag rejected it by a No vote of 75%. We posted in the discussion why we voted that way. There are parts of it that violate the Convention on Human Rights and parts that make no sense.
