Fun facts though:

In the UK we call this dish macaroni cheese (no "and"). In Carribean English it is macaroni pie. In Sweden makaronipudding, but only if is baked as a casserole. In Indonesia they call it macaroni schotel, and often add potato to it, because after the pasta and the flour-based sauce, what you really need are more carbs, right? In Finland makaronilaatikko is crazy popular.

The original medieval dish on which it was based was called makerouns.

In my house we fry off leftover boiled macaroni in a wok with sweet chilli sauce and some crushed peanuts or cashew, then melt a good cheddar over the whole mix. You get that sort of weird fusion cooking with my household's cultural mix...

My WA Proposal:

Ban on Conversion Therapy

Category: Human Rights
Strength: Mild

The World Assembly,

Defining the conversion therapy as “a practice designed to forcibly change an individual’s sexual orientation”,

Further noting that conversion therapy can cause terrible effects such as depression or cause suicide,

Further noting that conversion therapy proclaims that behavior pertaining to LGBTQ+ communities must be changed,

Realizing that behavior pertaining to any LGBTQ+ community is neither a disease nor a mental disorder requiring treatment,

Further noting that any individual has the right to express their sexual orientation or gender identity,

Further noting that conversion therapy does not have any consistent success in changing an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity,

Appalled that said psychotherapy is being used to prohibit an individual from expressing their identity,

Declares:

1. Any concerted effort to forcibly change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity to be conversion therapy shall be considered “conversion therapy” and prohibited from the moment said resolution is passed.

2. Forcing or inducing an individual to be transported to such a location for conversion therapy through means such as deception, coercion (physical or otherwise), abduction, physical damage, mental damage, psychological damage, or threats of such to the individual or persons close to said individual shall be considered “torture” and prohibited from the moment said resolution is passed,

3. Nations under this rule are to check any institutions that claim to be able to forcibly change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity and work to eliminate such institutions that take part in the activities stated under the first and second declarations.

4. Individuals or groups fleeing such institutions that practice conversion therapy shall be provided with full physical and legal protection.

5. Individuals and groups fleeing such institutions shall be freed from any requirement to continue attending said institutions.
