I actually have some further input in this matter. You see, I also had a crush when I was younger, in high school actually. I was 15 when I saw them at high school. They were twins, and at first I wasn't sure which I liked, but I was super attracted! I was 15 and they were 3 years older, but only two class-years higher. I was a kid from a troubled family, I will spare the details, but basically my dad bailed after he beat my mom and then my mom had to raise me on her own and she was at work most times so I was alone a lot of the time and I tried to fake interest in things I might not have liked to fit in groups and get friends, as I didn't know how otherwise. But then, I met them, the twins. A bit of background, my country has some people that are quite religious and like people that fit in so they attack those that do not. The twins however were goth rockers. Essentially seen as satanists by the christians and as weirdos by the rest, even if neither is true. And I was amazed by that, by the fact that they cared about their values, were really sincere and... themselves, even in a world so full of hate.

So I asked some friends who had the classroom next to theirs about them and I figured from description that I liked the little one(she was 5 cm smaller than her sister). On Woman's day, I made my move. I had bought both Martisoare (Romanian tradition) and bought the little twin white roses. I went to them and my friend introduced me and I gave her the gifts. She accepted but wasn't impressed. Her sister accepted too, but was more shy. I somehow(can't remember how) got her phone number and sent her poems. She didn't respond, until one day she asked my friend to call for me to her. There, she told me that she's not interested in me and I should drop it. Her sister told me that it was when the little twin says things like that, she's serious, so, yeah.

I was really upset and sad. For the first time in forever I had opened myself and was rejected. I didn't really have with whom to talk so, funny enough, I made a fake hi5 account (basically the facebook of then) and started talking with the taller twin because I wanted a friend and someone who knew the little twin. I won't go into the full story, but eventually they realized who I am and, even if we talked for a bit longer, they still cut me off when they realized that I still had feelings. Funny enough, after having talked with them, I realized I liked the taller twin much, much more, but it didn't matter. You see, I, without realizing, I had broken their values. I had lied to know them and faked being someone else. So, from the get-go, even if I liked them, they didn't like me, and there was nothing I could do to change that anymore. I had broken both their trust. I had not realized it at the time, and it took me years to realize that what I did was wrong and that I was annoying and didn't really have a chance because of something that nobody had ever taught me but that mattered a lot.

Sometimes people have different values and likes. I have a regular woman friend that only likes guys taller than her, for example. The twins only liked guys who were direct and sincere, not hiding their true selves. The point is that this girl might not like you for something you don't even have control of, but the more you insist, the more she'll dislike you, because she'll start seeing you as annoying, and, in time, even obsessed.
This day I don't know what the twins are doing anymore. No matter what however, I hope they're happy and living a great life, for they were great people, even if they didn't like me. I'm just sorry I annoyed them then, but it was due to my loneliness and lack of advice regarding inter-human relationships as I had nobody to give it to me back then.
I'm still glad I met them, they taught me a valuable lesson in life, to always be yourself, always be sincere and direct and never break the trust of those you care about, even if it means you have less friends(but you'll have better friends). I took that advice and lost most of my friends, who were just fake friends I had made in an effort to have people around as I was lonely. The remaining friends were true friends however, and the bonds became stronger.

This girl might not like you, but it's ok. You can take it as a learning opportunity, and learn what you liked about her. Maybe it's simply something you were missing within yourself. Maybe it's something in relation to others. But... unfortunately it's not her, and the more you bugger her, the more she'll dislike you. It's unfortunate, but that's how life is. If you truly care about her, be happy for her and let her be free. Maybe one day she'll come back. Or maybe you'll find someone else. Only time will tell.

I don't know, I hope this helps. I wrote this so that you'd understand that I know what you're going too. I passed that episode in my life a long time ago (am almost 30 now) but I remembered it now as it reminds me of your story.

IDK bro... not trying to be rude, but NationStates shouldn't be your first stop for relationship advice. I recommend talking to people irl who actually know your full situation.

I have stopped using NS++ ages ago due to the amount of bugs and issues that ran rampant. Presently I use LibreNS++ by South jarvis. It has many of the features of NS++ I enjoyed such as the puppet organizer and infinite scrolling. The extension isn’t buggy and is actively maintained.
