Birthday cake herby

Beep beep! Congrats on being featured! Anyone for some cake? Made with 100% organic ingredients!

P.S. Ransium! How ya doin’ bud!

Isbjorn Maerenne Bava Paerani wrote:I'm sorry, but this is a bit offensive. Forest is quite a notable region, home to many well-known players like Candlewhisper Archive. So calling this an "obscure little region" and a "quaint little place" is very inaccurate. Please educate yourself a little about a region before giving your opinion on it.

Ehhhhh it looks to me like a harmless, friendly poke. About 98% of the regions that are featured fit that description, so when we visit one that’s one of the most well known regions in the game it’s always a bit of a pleasant surprise.

Hi Hereby! Hope you are well!

Also, there was so much tongue in cheek in that series of exchanges I don’t think anyone really meant anything they said. Also I’m happy we’re featured again!

Wow. I wasn't expecting to be featured. Well, hi everyone! Glad to have you around. I was considering joining this group for a bit, but instead went with Geese and friends. I may want to rethink that now.

Also, does anyone else have those times when something big is about to happen, and it's only hours before that it really sinks in? Well, I graduate today.

I just know that I really like African cichlids and the water here is hard and alkaline enough to keep them happy. I knew that evolution had a pretty fast pace there but had no idea that it was that fast! What is driving it?

I ain't get to join WA, ain't get to look at my issues
I was signed off on Christmas, ain't get to see my factbook
Ain't get to recruit members, couldn't even write no telegrams
Can't even post on the RMB 'cause these smaller nations be snitching
Everybody acting suspicious, might prolly say that I'm quitting
When I'm all alone in the RMB, I tend to get in my feelings
And I only like Oatland, don't recruit me for some random region with about 13 members
And I'ma piss all off my population by introducing slavery for are GDP 'cause that the only thing that gon' boost it
I don't understand these soldiers, who go around pretending
As if they really served for me, so I love 'em all from a distance
'Cause the same soldier said he be decorated but there ain't anyone he tricking
Got World Assembly mixed with Security Council 'cause every time
I wake up in the morning I got Oatland on my mind
Lennia, East Morey, TPPOL, ATS and Aclion
And all these other regions be recruiting, tryna knock me off my grind
But I can't let 'em do it
I got murder on my mind
I got Oatland on my mind (I got Oatland on my mind)
I got Oatland on my mind (Oatland on my mind)
I got Oatland on my mind (I got Oatland on my mind)
I got Oatland on my mind
I got Oatland on my mind
Commendation beside his name, I guess he's a good guy
He really likes recruitment and his region's pretty nice
I didn't even mean to find 'em, he just caught me by surprise
I left my current region, the came back, and they were nice
His region dropped down to rock bottom and he had teardrops in his eyes
He sent me a telegram and said he was afraid to die
I told 'em it's too late my friend, your regions finna die
And he ceased to exist that very night, not a single member left
I wake up in the morning I got Oatland on my mind
Lennia, East Morey, TPPOL, ATS and Aclion
And all these other regions be recruiting tryna knock me off my grind
But I can't let 'em do it

I remember learning some bio concept about the freshwater fish of Africa all the way back in high school AP Biology, but I really cannot remember what the exact lesson was about.

As long as I know, most species in Lake Victoria hybridize with each other (Congo Cichlids × Nile Riverine Cichlids).

Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika cichlids actually came from rivers and build an aquatic settlement there to expand their population and create colorful colorations (Lake Victoria are colorful too but even more).

P.S. It's my birthday today. (LOL I have same birthday as Donald Trump)

Greetings to all of our visitors today, and thank you for the good wishes, friends! It is lovely to have our Forest home featured today!

I have never heard of a Lord Dominator. Sounds kind of authoritarian.

I said it first you dastardly villain! I would change my flag but...my nation has banned physical sports...

Middlemidden wrote:Congratulations on being featured! I and my fellow featured-region chasers are glad to come to this obscure little region that I have never heard of before.

I mean seriously, what a quaint little place. I can't imagine keeping a nation here permanently.

Nations living here tend to get squashed by a Summon Bigger Fish.

Not the dastardly Lady dominator? Or did you mean Lord Dominator?

When you’re a mangrove even Tiger Sharks don’t seem like that big of a deal.

Happy birthday, Myordas and con-graduations Canaltia! (Forgive my terrible pun.)

Also, we are featured?

Woo hoo!

I will add more facts about the African Cichlids (and other cichlids too):

1. Most of Lake Victoria cichlids disappeared in 1960's due to the introduction of a fish called Nile Perch. Those Nile Perch literally gobbled them up to the point of extinction. Almost 200/500 species went extinct on the lake and never be seen again.

2. The cichlid evolution phenomenon not just happened on Africa but also in Central America, meet the Amphilophus cichlids found mostly in Nicaragua. (I'm still waiting for the cichlids to reach the Caspian Sea and build another aquatic settlement there. Think a scientific name for them... Caspiochromis?)

The Caspian Sea is a salty sea, not as much as the ocean, but more than freshwater. I'm not sure they would thrive. Big ecological disaster happened there.
