Enter sneak mode every time you enter a new area or exit a metro station and wait a sec. When you see the bastards, reverse pickpocket a hand grenade on one of them and leave the scene...

Hmm. Something about the Level 30/Messiah Stealth Assassin is very appealing....

I won't compare myself to our lord and savior. It just that eventually I tippled to the consequences of high karma, so I'd tell the beggar to go find his own clean water. Then later, about three quarters of the way across the entire Wasteland, I'd be like "ah damn it."

Then I gotta slog alllllllllllllllll the way back, with all this extra clean water, getting assassinated 10 times along the way...

If you haven't already, do the riley's rangers quest. Pick the armour reward. Combat armor with extra protection and plus 1 luck. Then get to the museum of tech and checkout the terminals. Follow the leads and knowledge of prime numbers nets you a location with a unique powerful chinese assault rifle that chews through most stuff...

You guys could be pulling off a full Mornington Crescent here and I'd be absolutely none the wiser.

We could do a game of Mornington Crescent you know. It'd have to be Doncaster rules of course, and Circle line obviously shouldn't count towards totals otherwise more experienced players would have absolutely no challenge whatsoever. (though for ease of understanding they should remain playable)

Fair enough, but since our American friends will be less familiar with the London underground we should avoid double switching until they've got the hang of it.

EDIT: actually better take it to the forum in the circumstances. Correspondence rules would apply, naturally.

Except Marble Arch I am guessing, because if you can't double switch at Marble Arch the game can drag for ages.

You should have seen the days before Vandoosa/Thembria came about - it was at least three times as slow. The Yggdrasil forum has always been quiet and getting people to vote for WA proposals have always been even more of a bigger pain than finding Ambassadors - it's rare you get more than three votes. I think Thembria got two for the last GA proposal.

I'm... none the wiser despite spending about 20% of my time in these two years in London. I know Mornington Crescent; I know the Circle line... but for the rest - I get every single word you've said... individually.

Forgive this rant, but it probably is better here than in the WA forum.

I feel like half the people on WA have absolutely no reading comprehension, and no willingness to look up simple terms.

Preemption: the idea that a higher authority of law will displace the law of a lower authority of law when the two authorities come into conflict.

Nothing about who tries a case first. Nothing about only one being allowed to have laws. Nothing prohibiting the existence of an appelate or alternative court. It's just the idea of legal superiority.

The entire repeal effort currently on the table in WA is based on a complete lack of comprehension of this legal concept, and outright falsehood based on that non-comprehension.

Well I tell you what, we'll let you start on the Jubilee line, that way you'll likely have completed a set or two before us more experienced players have gotten past Hammersmith.

Edit: It is such a shame the game never really took off outside the UK. I mean it is easy enough once you've got the basics under your belt. I think they did a New York based one back in the 70's but I don't know what happened to it or if anyone still plays it.

You will not question Model UNWorld Assembly Club. They wear ties and everything.

My understanding is that the Columbus Circle variation never achieved popularity due to the unsportsmanlike conduct it inherently promotes.

Is there a point to post suppression? I mean, if anything, knowing someone suppressed a post means I have to read it, which, obviously, I still can.

Also, we're talking about a decade old game. There is no "spoiler" requirement here.

I think it's more symbolic. If your post gets suppressed, it's a public warning that whatever you posted wasn't alright.

Does anyone do MUN because this is good practice for writing resolutions in MUN and vice versa

Hey Forest! Happy belated NS Day from your friends in TNP! This cruise is great, but it's awfully sunny. Mind if I take advantage of your luscious trees to catch some much-needed shade?

You say 'belated'. What's the actual date of of the holiday? I wouldn't mind observing that myself.

(I've since been told it's November 13th, 2002)
