Hello and welcome! Alongside the links Peeps shared, here's a helpful guide on how to apply for citizenship. Citizenship really expands the opportunities for fun you can have on NS.

Can somebody help me. In a lot of my issues my demonym is acting weird, it says Bølgers now instead of Bølgerse/Bølgers. Does anyone know why this happens, I already tried altering my demonym but it doesn't work? I use the ctrl + alt + L to make the ø symbol I don't get why it puts an A with a stripe and a comma in its place.

I not sure. I guess maybe that sort of symbol might not be compatible with NS on that part of the page, and consequently might glitch as you described?

Well, I couldn't use it in my nation name because the link can only have Latin symbols and the ø is a Norse symbol. Which I think is BS, NationStates pls fix it. It hasn't acted up before. When I started my nation it was acting fine.

You could ask on the Technical forum if you want.

Hello Europeia!

There is a new vote in the General Assembly:

Resolution at Vote: Freedom of Dress
Vote Recommendation: Against
Forum voting thread: https://forums.europeians.com/index.php?threads/ga-freedom-of-dress.10056245/
Information for Voters: This resolution aims to prevent a universal prohibition on clothing or nudism, and also seeks to prevent "onerous restrictions on what sort of clothes may be worn and where". Given this, the resolution is written to permit a future prohibition on the propagation of hate speech in the context of clothing conveying such hate speech, and also permits member nations to restrict clothing where it is deemed "necessary for health and safety". It also aims to prevent impersonation of soldiers or other public servants, and to prevent public indecency. Lastly, the resolution permits employers to set dress codes as a condition of employment, insofar as they are not deemed to be discriminatory. Irrespective of any supposed or actual positive benefit this rather unnecessary piece of legislation may or may not achieve, the Ministry finds the first Article of this resolution to be fatally flawed: "[The General Assembly hereby:] reserves to the individual member states the matter of whether to permit the wearing of clothes,". The Ministry finds the notion that a nation should be permitted to outlaw the wearing of clothes to be particularly egregious, and by itself sufficient grounds to oppose this resolution. Such an incursion on the ability of one to maintain some semblance of personal privacy and dignity is atrocious. Furthermore, the Ministry finds the reason for the drafting of this resolution provided by the authoring delegation to be rather silly; as the odds of a global prohibition on clothing or nudism passing is unlikely to the point of absurdity. For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote AGAINST this resolution.

If you are a citizen, make sure to also vote in the forum thread. The forum tally determines the delegate's vote, so this is your chance to determine how Europeia's votes are used!

Quite a lot of bolding, not going to lie, perhaps you could just bold the "For these Reasons ,the Ministry of World Ministry Affairs recommends a vote FOR/AGAINST this resolution " to be bold,so people can see it better.
Just some feedback on it

Accelerationism

by Accelerationist fuime

ACCELERATIONISM

Definition:
The Ideology of Accelerationism pushes for a “Modern Renaissance“ achieved through lighting quick cultural, technological and Political revolutions in terms of advancements. Accelerationism glorifies the common folk and encourages “avant-garde” art, such as that of Salvador Dali’s, or Picasso.

Pro:
Individuality, Equality, Gay rights, Equal Pay, Capitalism, Expression, LGBTQ+ rights, Advancements, Speed, Youth, Violence, Futurism, Cubism, Freedom...
Against:
Authoritarianism, Religion, Tradition, Procrastination, Communism, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Fascism, Transphobia, Un-originality....

History:
After the Great War, Italy had gained all the land it was promised, and was in a stable condition... wanting to exercise its power, Italy declared war on the newly formed Yugoslavia, thinking it would be a trivial matter to win. It was quite the opposite. Within the first month 10,000 casualties were inflicted on Italy, and the army pushed back. In a panic, the Italian Navy attempted to bomb the coastline of Yugoslavia, but instead ended up crippling itself in a clumsy battle. 15,000 troops were encircled in Fuime, and the nation was in uproar. Eventually, Italy signed the Sarajevo Agreement, paying Yugoslavia war reparations, being forced into a permanent peace, and having Fuime released as a buffer state.

Immediately new ideas started cropping up in this new frontier, and Fuime became a wild west of Radical Ideologies experimenting and fighting for power. And out of the fiery fray came 3 figures.

Antonin Artuand. The Mad-man.

Grigori Rasputin. The Sinful Monk.

[REDACTED] The Red Snake.

The 3 horsemen of Accelerationism. And the rest is history.

Successes?:

Raised GDP. Large Tourist destination. Population boom. Cultural Identity. Successful Industrialisation.

Failures?:

All time high crime rates. Diplomatic shame. Withering resources. Ruined Environment. Old Architecture destroyed.

Ties:

Accelerationism has many ties, despite being majorly unique.

Anarchism is an idea revered by Accelerationists, complete freedom in any form, a very inviting prospect.... yet anarchy is seen as the crumbling of all Order, and so it will never achieve “Modern Renaissance“.

Anarcho-capitalism is yet another inviting prospect, but the divide within classes is seen as the divide of a revolution.

Greek Democracy is seen as the true form of itself, and an image of a white stallion guiding a nation towards greatness, just as it did with the Greeks. Accelerationists believe this to be “Sub-Accelerationism”

Radical Actions:
?????????????????????????
Culture
Currently, Culture in Fuime is based upon ‘Think Trends’, the latest trends started by influential people in Fuime. For example: Edward Longstreet Bodin (Hailing from The USA) created a form of music known as: Spiritual Synth-Jazz, which is now the current preference for music within Fuime. Or, Oswald Mosley, who was extradited from the UK and adopted Phoenixism (the belief that the only way that the world can progress is through war) starting the ‘Cuisine of the Bizarre’ (involving Boiled-Bread and Honey Soaked Eggs) which was very much enjoyed by Fuime. It is simply impossible to pin-point the characteristics of Accelerationist Culture, as it can completely morph into another thing in the space of a week.
Opinions on other Ideologies:
Communism: Freedom-hating, expression oppressing pigs.
Conservative: Disgusting progress reversers.
Socialist: Far superior to communism, friends of Accelerationism.
Anarchism: Heck ya!
Reactionary: Heck nah!
Centrism: Allow horrendous things happen in the world, take a side!
National Socialism: Retards who think they are superior to others because of their stupidity.
Fascism: Imbeciles with no life.
Nationalist: Pathetic Little Fascists.
Liberalism: That’s the spot!

Hello Europeia!

There is a new vote in the Security Council:

Resolution at Vote: Commend Deadeye Jack
Vote Recommendation: For
Forum voting thread: https://forums.europeians.com/index.php?threads/sc-commend-deadeye-jack.10056250/
Information for Voters: This proposal seeks to Commend Deadeye Jack for their many accomplishments and contributions. These contributions include development of the European Union, the founding of Fort Triumph, and reestablishment of Hogwarts. The proposal also discusses Deadeye Jack’s role in The Order of the Grey Wardens, where they made significant contributions to the defending program. The end of the proposal focuses on The Rejected Realms. Deadeye Jack was incredibly dedicated to The Rejected Realms during their ten months as Officer of Culture, bringing musical events, “opening the Cultural Event Library,” and “maintaining a Culture Calendar with daily cultural events.” Deadeye Jack also assisted in the creation of the Unicorn Star Treaty, the treaty between The Rejected Realms and The North Pacific, and served as The Rejected Realm’s World Assembly Delegate for seven months. Between all of their contributions and the fact that this commendation does not pose any apparent foreign affairs conflicts, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends a vote FOR this resolution.

If you are a citizen, make sure to also vote in the forum thread. The forum tally determines the delegate's vote, so this is your chance to determine how Europeia's votes are used!
