You're not 100% wrong, people do like Canada because we're better than the US, but that's also not a really good argument, because all western nations are better than the US.

Some reasons are the fact that we're actually just nice people. Like this isn't a joke, we're just nice. We also have emens power (we're part of the G7) and instead of using the power for self betterment, we use it for world assistance. All in all, we're good, we do good, and Canadians show that. It's not to say that we're all good, because trust me if people knew our history it could be a different story, but all in all, we're just nice.

(I know that's just the same argument, but still, it's not wrong)

Woah woah woah , you have never been to Mexico my friend. I am sorry but no, Mexico is a whole another level you people in Canada will hopefully never see.

no, I know. I know about what's going on in Mexico, we all know. What I meant was developed nations.

Still, compared to Europe, Japan, and Oceania, the US is kinda not doing to swell

Plus Mexicans are nice as well, probably nicer than Americans

Canada is very popular in the UK. I saw a map where every country had a flag of the country its residents liked the most and the UK had Canada's flag and Canada had the UK's. Ireland also had the UK's and the US had Canada's so it was kinda sad to see them being rejected like that XD

As a Mexican idk it depends where you go , also in the west there are truly only two developed nations, America is doing all right, definitely better than some European countries but the media makes us look like a garbage fire.

Two developed nations?

ah. Well, I don't know as much about Mexico, so I don't wanna make assumptions, but I think you guys are doing better? I hear stories from my dad when he went down there for a uni swap program and it's always about "It's beautiful, but was a kinda bad place".
Idk, I hope it's going better (considering COVID and all)

Well, here's the thing, America is doing good economically, but socially and politically? It's a dumpster fire
Plus, actually looking it up, America has more gun related deaths in general then Mexico, even just by a little bit, which is really sad

Wait what we do we consider west? If we are counting North, Central, and South America then I guess America and Canada are the only ones since my family says Central, Mexico, and South America are all still developing but they have some beautiful sites and people from Central America where my family is from are really nice.

Many Americans/Europeans go to a Mexican resort or the city and assume its a beautiful place but trust me it is not. Fortunately my family is safe now, but even they are afraid of their former homes and we cannot even travel there to visit family due to how dangerous it is.

When I talk about the West, I mean really just developed nations, nations like the UK, US, Japan, Australia, places like that. It's an outdated thing, so sorry for the confusion (idk why I still use it)

The west is usually means Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the US, the UK, the EU/EFTA and European Microstates.

It can be applied somewhat to the rest of North and South America and Eastern Europe/Russia though I think.

They're outdated cold war terms based on nation's alignment with either the US or USSR

Same with 1st, 2nd, 3rd world countries

We should divide nations in developed and developing and not terms that don't take our modern geopolitical landscape into account

West doesn't even work because we live on a sphere, no matter how far east you travel you'll always be west of somewhere.
