I've had a ton of stories off site, so I haven't RP'd much. If we win the last game and a few teams lose, we can still qualify.
I'm set for a two-horse race for second over the final 9 matches in which we will almost certainly finish third.
I hate to mention it, but I think you might be mistaken on the format. Your RPs mention third place getting into the playoffs (which was true in WC80), but because of how many entrants there were in this Cup only second place teams will get into the playoffs (you can see the bid thread under 'format': 
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=445400). While that does make it something of a long shot, I wish you luck (and in the CoH if it doesn't pan out)!
