Abe will visit the Philippines soon!

Crazybloxian Empire wrote:Peking Zhongguo

Remember, the Philippines is a member of the IPDEC, and thus the shared joint IPDEC trust of the South China Sea that claims sovereignty to the entire sea but de facto only controls the Spratly Islands and surrounding waters.

China claims sovereignty over the entire sea as well, but only maintains control over the Paracel Islands and surrounding waters.

Can we strengthen our diplomatic ties? ^^

Peking Zhongguo Indonesia would also like to strengthen ties.

We could create an Asian organization! Let's make an organization along the lines of the European Union!

New Provenance

I know the USP overthrew the Arabian government and brought back House Saud, but what government preceded that? And what precipitated the conflict?

Philanialle wrote:We could create an Asian organization! Let's make an organization along the lines of the European Union!

That wouldn't be practical for China, and likely not for most other countries, as politically it would be too divided/dysfunctional. The IPD&EC arguably is about the closest you can get to an EU/NATO mix-up in the region.

China and Japan can work on bilateral cooperation though!

Philanialle wrote:New Provenance

I can agree to something like that.

Can we work on bilateral cooperation as well?

There is...though it needs an update https://i.imgur.com/tXYpngA.png

The Indo-Pacific Defense and Economic Collectives: The Indo-Pacific Defense Collective (IPDC) consists of Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaya, the Philippines, Thailand and formerly Vietnam. Its purpose is to promote interdependence within the Southeast and South Asia regions (the Indo-Pacific), along the lines of cooperation militarily, protecting sovereignty, and promoting rule-of-law diplomacy. The Indo-Pacific Economic Collective (IPEC), consists of the same members plus Vietnam and Laos, and it strives for economic and trade cooperation. It is essentially ASEAN (which doesn't exit in this timeline). It also protects the region from un-fair investment schemes, etc.

Both the collectives operate under the Indo-Pacific Political Council, a policy-coordinating council represented by delegates from each member nation in addition to invited observers (Australia, India, Taiwan, Nepal), and headed by the Secretary-General. In addition, the council operates several other initiatives, such as the Laos Administration Authority (temporary governing force in Laos), and other matters. This factbook highlights the collectives better, though I am nowhere near finished with it:

INDO-PACIFIC DEFENSE & ECONOMIC COLLECTIVES

"WE ARE THE DEFENDERS OF OUR CIVILIZATION."
First Secretary General, Mr. Siyang Kamalungah, January 2014

What We Are

The Indo-Pacific Defense and Economic Collectives, abbreviated as the IPD&EC and founded in 2014 are a grouping of two international collectives in the Indo-Pacific region. Our mission is interdependence, prosperity, and stability through our partnerships in the region. Combined, our two collectives fiercely promote economic coordination, trade coordination, defense coordination, and formal diplomatic coordination. Our member countries include Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaya, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.

How We Operate

The defense collective, commonly abbreviated to the IPDC, and the economic collective, commonly abbreviated to IPEC both operate under the Indo-Pacific Political Council. The council contains a delegation from every member country, and a non-voting delegation from invited and attending observers of both the IPDC and IPEC; Australia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, among others. Voting delegations within the council vote on proposed policies submitted by any delegation, and as such, the council is the primary policy coordinating organ of the collectives.

The council is led by a Secretary General elected by the council every year, which acts as a formal diplomatic ambassador, chief advisor, and leader within both collectives. The Sec-Gen and their combined staff and office are the highest level leaders within the IPD&EC.

Around the region, IPEC, the economic collective, works with member countries to promote trade, investment and cultural links, facilitating free trade between its members, economic & trade policy, foreign investment, joint-IPEC investment, unified customs, IPEC Visas, cultural exchange programs, disaster relief, smuggling prevention, and unified sanctions, among many other activities.

In addition to the important activities facilitated by IPEC, the IPDC also maintains several tasks with its members including a common defense policy, a guided defense policy, joint operations & exercises, prevention of terror, promotion of democracy & human rights, the pressuring & dismantling of rouge regimes, and the unified response to regional crises with diplomacy and military action.

A History of Success

The IPD&EC has proved its successes around the region multiple times, lifting the economies of Indochina and the broader region, creating and expanding cultural links between its members, promoting tourism around the region, brokering peace and facilitating disaster relief between Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos, establishing and protecting human rights and democracy within Cambodia & Laos, establishing a peaceful compromise in North Borneo and the South China Sea, and preventing the buildup of foreign military bases on the territory of its' member countries.

Though challenged at times, the IPD&EC has always prevailed, and will continue to do so in the future.

Current Missions, Operations, and Programs

The IPD&EC maintains a vast array of programs, operations, and missions across the region in an effort to promote peace, cooperation, prosperity, human rights, and democracy.

Freedom of Navigation in the Region (FON) - The FON is a IPDC project in the South China Sea that actively works to secure safe passage-way for all ships travelling from East Asia through the Bay of Bengal. This massive program ensures that trade between East Asia and the Pacific will always continue through the rest of the world. The FON Headquarters in Bangkok sees several operations handle piracy every month. The FONs are often related to the Pai Doctrine Securement Shield operations in joint-exercises.

The Pai Doctrine Securement Shield (PDSS) - The PDSS aimed at securing Southeast Asia through an early warning system monitoring the Bay of Bengal, the Torres Straits, the South China Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. This four-front program maintains IPDC bases across the Southeast Asia-region, including in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaya, Indonesia and Burma. The IPDC utilizes major bases in these four regions to create the Joint-Base Command, headquartered in Singapore. The PDSS also relies on a missile defense shield, which will be expanded regionally by 2030.

The Laos Administration Authority of the Indo-Pacific Political Council (LAA) - The LAA is a temporary administrating force in Laos, established after the 2021 Vietnamese invasion of Laos, and is headquartered in Luang Prabang. It consists of the Office of the Administrator, an executive position selected by the Secretary-General of the Indo-Pacific Political Council and confirmed by the council, in addition to the Laos Transitional Legislature, a legislating body that consists of 30 members appointed by the LAA Administrator, on advice from the Indo-Pacific Political Council and other regional groups in Northern Laos. The LAA supervises a vast range of programs in Laos; Establishing stability, assisting in recovery from the Laos Humanitarian Disaster, defending Laos's sovereignty, revising a constitution, and facilitating a return to democracy and adequate human rights.

The Laos Relief & Assistance Program (LRAP) - The LRAP is a program that operates in Laos, supervised by the Laos Administration Authority of the Indo-Pacific Political Council, and funded directly in staged contributions from IPEC members and observers. The Laos Relief & Assistance Program is the primary direct source of relief and assistance in Laos, comprising of billions in direct aid, humanitarian aid, and defense aid. Due to this fact, the LRAP is the single largest directing force of monetary and fiscal policy in Laos.

The Commonwealth Of Liberty — Detailed, Creative, Storytelling . . . That is what we do here. If your looking for that Era of Excitement, a Great Whisper of a Thrill, here in the COL we have been providing that as the orginial ultra-active, ultra-detailed NS roleplaying community since 2013. From our detailed factbooks, to detailed storytelling which hold events from the halls of power, to the households of the average civilian . . . from Geopolitics ranging of diplomacy to warfare; national developments to crisis affairs . . . Here, in this Prologue, this Q&A . . . You will find many of your questions answered, and many examples of what we do here, of which you will find a community open and ready to help in the creation of beautiful factbooks and/or roleplays . . . But you will also find more questions, created out of this, How do I join? What are the rules? Once I do so, how do I start the journey? . . . Welcome to the Commonwealth of Liberty!

Is there an application?

We in the COL do not find it reasonable to saddle new members with bureaucracy, requirements for citizenship and thus map placement is simply holding WA membership within the region.

How does the Citizenship process work?

Seven full days with WA-status in the COL, and continuing to do so grants full COL Citizenship, although Map Placement occurs as soon as WA membership is obtained, regardless of the seven day period, which concerns our Democratic Elections.

What goes on the Regional Message Board?

The COL RMB is the place where our roleplays are posted, wheter detailed developments or civilian character stories . . . You will find both RP and OOC conversations on the RMB, as we do NOT restrict the creativity nor community of our members to partake in.

Do you have a Discord?

Yes, we do! The COL Discord is for OOC conversations, although those can take place both on the RMB and/or Discord, and sometimes we play games like Minecraft and Hearts of Iron IV together! — LinkCOL Discord

Are there International Organizations?

Yes! We have Organizations such as the United Nations UN & European Union EU! . . . We also host World Olympics Games and a global song-contest ran by Paseo called WorldVision!

New Provenance wrote:Reto Marsudi - Tsar Putin. It is a great honor to represent Indonesia in a meeting such as this. I completely agree with the fact that we can further bilateral relationships to benefit our nations' interests. Shall we get to discussing the agenda, Your Majesty?"

Tsar Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin:

"Madam Marsudi, I think that the first area of cooperation ought to be joint space cooperation. Indonesia is in a perfect geographic location near the equator that provides the perfect conditions for rocket launches and rocket exploration. The SGRI is at the forefront of space technology exploration and satellite constellations. I believe that Indonesia and the SGRI ought to cooperate in space exploration projects in a joint partnership. Indonesian scientists and astronauts will be able to come to Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities that is responsible for space flights, cosmonautics programs, and aerospace research. Here they can be further trained as well as coordinate future space launches. I am open as well to have the SGRI assist Indonesia in constructing your own space program infrastructure within your country as well. I think there is a unique scientific and educational opportunity here that should not be overlooked. If you can agree to this, I would also like to see joint education programs in college and post-graduate school for those interested in space exploration, engineers, etc. to travel to either country and further their knowledge and opportunities to become immersed in this new frontier."

Alzarikstan wrote:Still standing, Minister Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky would clear his throat as his glare at the Tsarina remained focus and sharp.

Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky:

"...Treason is punishable by hanging and firing squad here in the SGRI. I am a traitor? For why? I assume that you have read my letter. I stated what is on the mind of not just myself but a few others who will not really take too kindly of having a well...foreigner dictate the culture of the SGRI, especially a foreigner of your origin. The SGRI is not a place for liberalism...it is allergic to liberalism so it pains me to see our conservative culture being tainted by the flourishing of debauchery and immoralism."

| Glaring at him with a pierce glare, the Tsarina would tilt her head slightly. |

[ Tsarina, Leila Putin ]: "Debauchery and immoralism? Foreigner? I am not just some, foreigner, Mr Medinsky. I am the Tsarina of the SRGI, your superior, in every meaning of that word. You have failed on every account to make the SRGI culture of conservatism, that you so much wish to protect, be valuable and popular. The youth listen to anti-State music, watch anti-state content, read anti-state books and you, have no control over it whatsoever. I am doing you a favour, by taking a job that you're incompetent to do and creating a modern SRGI culture of conservatism. You didn't even have the courage to write to me, about it. About your disfatiscation, instead you bother the Tsar. Not just bother, you are undermining his authority, his rules and his decision for the Institute to be established. That, is treason Mr Medinsky and for that treason I could get you hanged and stand before the firing squad."

| Standing up she would lean in forward towards him, staring directly into his eyes. |

[ Tsarina, Leila Putin ]: "I know very well how SRGI operates, and you must be one naïve man to think that the Tsar chose me as his wife only because of my beauty. I come from a very similar dynasty, the Pahlavis. But in that dynasty, I would of crushed you, Mr Medinsky, before you even dared to write that letter. The only difference in SRGI, is that I will do it publicly and slowly. Many men like you have underestimated me before, and you are about to do the same but I can guarantee that you will rue the day."

Glaring back at the Tsarina, Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky's face would go from a submissive to a stern glare.

Minister Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky:

Madam Tsarina, if you are going to threaten to kill me, then do it but if you do, just know that by that action alone, you will be doing more damage to your husband. Now you want to stop anti-state, anti-Tsar, and anti-SGRI content and music. That is fantastic and I commend you but you ought to do it with the Ministry of Culture. Not above the Ministry of Culture. Our culture of conservatism is very important to me. It is at the very core at all that I do and I will not take that insult from anyone who otherwise think differently...with all due respect Madam Tsarina. I am willing to die for my country but if it is by your hands with no probably cause and the inner circles of the Tsar begin to view this as you committing a cleansing of the Tsar's core, then you Madam Tsarina will be subject to the scrutiny and power of the State you married into.

Vladimir Rostislavovich Medinsky would place his hands behind his back and tilted his head up to appear more confident as he glared at the Tsarina.
