we have President-Elect here in the states. Only used when an incoming President hasn't been sworn in yet. But if an incumbent President wins re-election then it isn't used.

the Presidential transition period is from election day (so anywhere from 2nd to the 8th of November) to Inauguration Day, which is 20 January of the next year.

THE THREAT OF INDOCHINA

The Council announced the recruitment of all Waldenians young between 18 to 29 years—Mandatory training for soldiers across the country, and the martial law decree goes into effect for all citizens.

It was a very turbulent morning for the Council, with the news coming from Indochina, the Counselors announced a meeting of extreme urgency on this subject—The Prime Councillor gave the proposal to militarize all the cities of the country, increasing the recruitment of young people between 18 to 29 years and to enact martial law for all citizens—This proposal was much discussed among the Counsellors, with the majority in favor of the proposal. The Young Alexander Meulenbelt said he will do everything in his power to keep the country safe.

I hope Labour will win a majority and Comrade Corbyn will be in office, but sadly I think Boris Johnson may end up being PM for the next 8 years.

who knows...my hope is that Labour gets a majority or forms a coalition or that Lib Dems will win a majority or coalition.

PlatinOil

The PlatinOil ( Spanish: Plata Petroleo) is a 65% state-owned petroleum and natural gas company. It was formed with the Economic Shock and Corporation's creation frenzy in the first years of the rule of President Mandrake.

History

Foundation

Based initially as YPF (Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales), it was the first oil company to be vertically integrated in its production and logistics. In 1992, the government decided to make an oil corporation under the name of PlatinOil. At first, it included YPF, Bridas Corporation and YCF (Yacimientos Carboníferos Fiscales). in 1993, with the Union with Chile, ENAP (Empresa Nacional del Petróleo) was added to the corporation. Later, with the integration of Uruguay, ANCAP (Administración Nacional de Combustibles, Alcoholes y Portland) was integrated in this corporation. It was invited, in the 1990's, by Cuba and Venezuela, to have operations within their respective nations.

Many laws regulate the oil production and the actions of PlatinOil within La Plata and it must face foreign competition since the opening to the West in mid-1990's. Although, it still has the majority of oil production, it is contested in new oil ventures and exploration. It is also funded and encouraged by the government of La Plata to have research and operations in green fuel, mostly with the acquisition of arable land for soy production for biodiesel and other green fuel products.
