One of my rp recently, wish you’ll invest in some. I want to extend the infrastructure towards the North through Bolivia and Peru too!

Nonador and I had the project of the “South American Belt” that would be infrastructures following the south American coasts (roads and railways) and link every nation.

“The government has also announced investment in the infrastructure of the nation. The roads system and railways will be upgraded and expanded. The telecommunications will receive fundings to allow a better coverage of the nation.

The road system linking the major cities of La Plata will copy the European road system, with effective 3-ways roads with very high speed limits being pay-to-use and possibly privatized, while a public secondary roads system will work in parallel, allowing poorer citizens to reach their destination, in a longer lapse of time, without breaking their piggy bank. this new effective roads system will make La Plata a truly westernised economy and destination for tourists who seek to travel around the vastness of the nation.

The railroads system will be expanded, with an electric high-speed train to link Santiago (Chile) and Buenos Aires (Argentina) as a direct line for passengers, but also merchandises. The biggest investment will be the creation of new tunnels and tracks in the Andes between Chile and Argentina. This new train and line will cost around 4.5B$ in total, the biggest investment in railroad infrastructure of the nation. It is also planned to expand or rehabilitate many lines, like the Salta-Antofagasta railway, the Transandine Railway between Valparaiso and Mendoza, the South Trans-Andean railway linking Lonquimay to Zapala and Osorno to Bariloche. The BiOceanio is being discussed with Brazil (Nonador) as a new rapid and efficient way to link the Pacific and the Atlantic for a better and more inegrated trade of the region and as a way to transport merchandises and people from the Eastern sphere (Pacific) to the Western Sphere (Atlantic). It should allow also a better trade between the two nations and better integrate both nations' ventures for concentrated trade hubs, like the Rio de Silico from La Plata and the equivalent in Brazil.”

Electoral reform America needs:

- A rule setting the amount of people per representative at no more than 50,000 people, which would increase the amount of representatives.

- Statehood for DC and Puerto Rico, which would again increase representation.

- The elimination of FPTP in favor of ranked voting or other alternative forms to eliminate the 2 party system.

- The abolition of the electoral college in favor of the popular vote.

it could definitely work. the more representation the better XD

i think we should increase the amount of representatives by at least 200

from 435 to at least 650 or as far as 800

Ranponian wrote:Palace of the Soviets could :3

even the National People's Congress couldn't fit that

China has the largest at 2,980 Members of the National People’s Congress.

Followed by:

UK: 1,443 (650 Commons / 793 Lords)

Italy: 951

France: 925

Diwi’s Plan for Electoral Reform for the US of A :3

- Voting Rights for Bees
- Banish every person living in New York City, Baltimore, Phoenix, and Portland
- Any persons of French descent who do not bring a baguette to the voting station will immediately have their vote revoked for that election
- North Dakota gets 8 electoral votes

the 28th congress of the USSR had 4,683

:3

If the US had 1 representative per 100,000 people, there would be 3,251 members of the House of Representatives

a bit smaller and manageable ^~^

1 per 250,000 perhaps? <-<

1,308 members

Ranponian wrote:1 per 250,000 perhaps? <-<

1,308 members

300,000 -> 1,083

400,000 -> 812

500,000 -> 650

500,000 sounds nicer. 650 is actually reasonably manageable.

650 Representatives + 100 Senators = 750 total

The Electoral College would get a bit funky lol. you would need 375 electoral votes to win the Presidency.

The number of people for each representative in the US varies by state.

The highest being in Montana with 1 representative for its 1,050,493 people and the lowest being in Rhode Island at 1 per 529,820 people.

2 states are in the <600k range - being Rhode Island and Wyoming

8 states are in the 600k-700k range - being Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, West Virginia, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, and Alabama

34 states are in the 700k-800k range

4 are in the 800k-900k range - being Oregon, South Dakota, Colorado, and Idaho

and two states are above 900k people per representative - being Montana and Deleware

Olá!

I've just been approved as Portugal ^>^

Social activists throughout the Republic have recently began organizing and uprising against the standing government in the wake of the governments inability to respond to the breakdown of civilization within the country. These activists have began to form their own local collectives in attempts to oppose the federal government and their forces, as well as local bureaucracy overall. Already having raided various military stockpiles in attempts to accumulate their own weaponry and equipment.

La désunion républicaine
The Republic sits in shambles, the Government trying it's best to maintain security and internal unity the best it can. These divides has only led to the military and federal government to increase austerity measures as well as declaring martial law in attempts to maintain some form of security & unity for the nation. As it stands currently, the West African Federation is in desperate need of stability. As the military is organized within the capital moves have began to accumulate more forces to oppose the guerrilla movements cropping up across the country.

Action militaire
The first moves were made this morning of the month. Federal forces were quickly accumulated in the capital of Accra, a force numbering around 40,000 servicemen they'd be sent throughout Ghana with the express intent to root our communism & reestablish order. Already millions within the capital can see convoys of forces being sent out to the field with their various arms, low grade equipment, faded fabric, rusty helmets and rickety trucks to fight the insurgents.

Guerre civile
THe country is officially in full scale civil war, with various factions throughout the nation fighting one another in a vye for power. From the French elite in Ivory Coast & Ghana, to the Communist African Nationalists spread out across the Federation. Each fighting one another over carious views opposing one another, while Federal forces attempt to maintain order in one sector at a time attempting to root out guerilla movements.

Pointes de nationalisme
With the civil war the French elite spread out across the country but mostly centered in Ivory Coast have officially formed a Fascist paramilitary arm. Wanting to establish an apartheid state and restructure the system for the interests of the French minority at the behest of the minority. Most of these French Fascist divisions being scrounged up are small divisions & battalions made up of French people, or the few Africans they keep on payroll. Well funded and equipped these paramilitary groups are among the most dangerous and best trained in the current civil war making Ivory Coast their main base of operations.
