#Conservatives

One of the most successful PM of its time, but nowadays he's seen pretty negatively, mostly because he's associated with the conservatives (badly seen nowadays). But he was a red tory while the actual Conservative Party is blue tory.

So I find it sad since he brought a good middle between liberal and conservative reforms

    France Stops NATO Withdrawal Process
    MITTERRAND PRESS CONFERENCE

ÉLYSÉE PALACE, PARIS, FRENCH REPUBLIC

| Rumors had spread in the last few days of France withdrawing its NATO exit procedure - which had begun in December of last year when it joined, with other European nations, the EDC - but they were only confirmed on the morning of September 19. In the evening, a rather solemn press conference was held at the Elysée Palace. There was a sullen mood in the room, as the future of Europe hung in the balance. The ageing President, looking rather exhausted, arrived on the stage and sat in a chair in front of an array of microphones, with the intricate decoration of the Palace as well as the French flag behind him. |

    | President of the French Republic François Mitterrand: | "Dear friends, welcome...Let's begin. The first announcement I will make tonight is that France will indeed stop its withdrawal procedure from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. We started it last December in order to comply with the terms of the European Defence Community, which requested that its member countries not be part of other alliances. The procedure, which hasn't ended yet, is therefore finished, and the French Republic will remain in NATO.

This may come as a shock for you, but this decision has been carefully thought through. Our world is filled with instability, so perhaps it is not much of a surprise either. The alliances of yesterday are often forgotten for new ones that may not prove as strong. NATO has been our alliance ever since the end of World War Two and it has proven beneficial to us. The European Defence Community has let down French expectations. Our voice has found itself diminished and what we wished for has not arrived. Our sovereignty has found itself threatened. Our relations, with our allies and partners, have been hurt.

Today, it is in our best interest to remain in NATO, and, of course, to also remain out of its integrated military command for the exact same reasons we choose to no longer fully participate in the EDC.

Another main reason for it is that France is not alone in this. Long talks have been held between the core European and Atlantic allies.

Germany (Bayern kahla) and Italy (Pontianus) did not begin the process of withdrawing from NATO, and also intend to remain in it.

And France cannot stay isolated from its allies. These are allies that we can trust, allies that we will always have by our side, and allies that share with us the same concerns of peace, security, and stability. France will never detach itself from those allies. In effect, we are now choosing to remain in NATO along with Germany and Italy.

As for the exceptional peace that we have created in Europe, let me assure you that it is in France's heart to maintain it.
The EDC has proven, if not a stable alliance worthy of our dedication, at least a good platform for exchange, discussion, and overall diplomatic détente.
To our partners in the East - the Soviet Union (Liberalina) and the Balkan Union (Not xav), we assure you, that as always, France will remain open to dialogue and France is not an enemy.

We want to keep the peace.
We want to keep working for a peaceful Europe.
But peace can only come with sovereignty, and that is why France has chosen, with its allies of forever in Western Europe, to stay in the Atlantic Alliance.

I wish to extend a hand of friendship to the countries of the East for a peace summit, so that Europe, in the best interest of everyone, can remain free from war and division.

Indeed, I wish for the EDC to remain, but only as a less-integrated, de-centralized alliance that would only come into play should Europe be threatened by an outside party. This "lighter" alliance was among the first proposals discussed at the beginning of our talks, and I wish to bring it back today. It would indeed allow each of us to regain their legitimate sovereignty, while keeping a climate of peace on our dear continent.

Thank you for your time, you may now begin with your questions."

| The press conference had left many in shock. The President hadn't directly announced France's resignation from the EDC - just its wish to reform it. While Berlin and Rome never even announced that they would leave NATO in the first place, Paris had effectively backtracked from doing so. The reaction from the East was unknown, and it clouded many minds as the night set on the country. |

Denmark applauds France's recommitment to NATO and the strong sign of unity this shows for Europe and her security. For the same reasons that Denmark's people did not vote to leave the EU, they are echoed once again: Europe is still united.

THE COLD WAR IS OVER!!!

These were the words that echoed in European ears after the creation of the European Defense Community, at first sight a dream had become a reality. But it is not only dreams that one lives in our world, the cold war may have ended in Europe, but continued in the rest of the world. At a first glance, Italy saw in EDC the opportunity to defend Europe from a European point of view which, even with the best of intentions, would cause friction to its former allies, but this was the necessary cost to peace. Promises were made, promises were fulfilled, promises were broken, yet as time passed the Italian government saw itself as an isolated voice in the community, for the Italians the EDC was the shield that would protect the European from Chinese expansionism, this same Italy was once warning of its former allies in NATO, but that as in EDC their calls were ignored. Even after many conversations the Italian government realized that its considered position "radical" would weaken not only himself, but also the entire alliance. Despite the appeals of its French and German partners, Italy found no way to solve this problem except with its exit from EDC, and the suspension of its departure from NATO, in the end Italy was still another child lost in its dreams.

| Iranian Left Rises in Polls! |

As the elections to the Iranian Parliament loom, and will come around in only four months, the Iranian political scene has found itself under some changing shifts and pressures. The main issues that are dominating the current campaign, to give the few, are Afghanistan, Healthcare System, Iranian Foreign Policy and the Military. This election will also see the largest amount of parties, with around thirteen groups fighting to win and create the new government.

The most recent poll, however, gives us the top three parties that we will focus on in this article.

    Poll Results for Women Times:

    Monarchist Party - 36%
Liberation and Freedom Movement - 31%
    New Socialism - 11%
    Iranian Unification Movement - 8%
    Zoroastrian Centre - 6%
    Communist Movement - 3%
    Aryan Superiority League - 2%
    Iranian Democratic Party - 0.9%
    Islamic Democrats - 0.8%
    Christian Democratic Alliance - 0.6%
    Afghan Conservative Party - 0.5%
    Islam for Iran - 0.1%
    Pashtun National Party - 0.1%

The current ruling party, Monarchist Party, is still in the lead but 36% is not the highest that the party has been. Only two months ago, the party was able to get more than 44%, and their fall in the polls is both as sudden as extreme. However, political commentator, Zahary Gresi suggests "...Fachtani lost momentum the moment he got elected. The Monarchists are busy with infighting in the party between Pahlavi and Fachtani fractions, and busy with investing money into the military. People are bothered by the sudden influx of Afghan migration into Iranian cities, by growing problems in the countryside and by over-conservatism of the new addition to Iran." The issue of Afghanistan has for sure dominated the current political campaign and debate. However, the government has also been critised for inability to get Iran into the new foreign situation. Many accuse Fachtani of inability to unite Iranians and Afghans, people who have completely different views on the world and has completely ignored the influx of the much cheaper influx of Afghan migrants into Iranian cities. However, the government has also been critised for inability

One of the main people to call Fachtani on it is Shasana Rumoni, the current leader of Liberation and Freedom Movement. The LFM for a long time was known was the "Clown Party of the 1960s." Due to its historic background and previous leadership, but it is primarily due to the Rumoni reformation of the LFM since 1986, that is bringing the party closer to power than ever. "Prime Minister Fachtani and the current government were keen enough on creating a union with Afghanistan, taking over Afghanistan but they completely failed to bring the two people together and to assimilate both Iranians to Afghans and Afghans to Iranians." However, another major accusation towards the government is the lack of spending on Healthcare. "Our healthcare system has to take on a huge amount of twenty million people, but the spending on it has decreased by nearly ten percent in the past years! Iranian healthcare system is one of the most efficient in the world, and we must upkeep it." Stated the proposed by LFM Minister of Healthcare, Hassan Rhonai. The party large surge in the polls may also be coming from their promise of a nationwide referendum on whether the union between Afghanistan and Iran should be kept. The party also promise expansion of relations with Ranponian and expansion of MEDO.

When it comes to foreign policy, New Socialism led by Sabina Fesri has a lot to say. As the only party in the country, New Socialism proclaims for Iran to find its way into the YCO, something that every other Iranian politician has declared as a partner in business but nothing more. "Iran cannot stand above or beside or below the YCO. We must join the force that will change the world." Stated Sabina Fesri, the previous Prime Minister. However, despite the foreign policy promises, and promises to bring Afghanistan and Iran closer, and give Afghans even more power over themselves, the party leader is a big problem for the party as some suggest. "During the Fesri government, poverty rates, especially in east Iran went up, the police and the military were underpaid and her attacks on monarchy were not seen as good. New Socialism could be very popular, but Fesri, who without a doubt has already written herself on the cards of history, is a problem. The quicker she leaves and retires from politics, like Benin, the better for her own reputation to be uphold - of a powerful socialist lioness - and the for the party." Stated Zachary Gestan.

Another interesting situation is going on in Afghanistan, where the Iranian parties have to not only establish themselves in a new environment but also have to get the people on their side. The turnout vote in Afghanistan is predicted to be around only 20%, but some figures have already established themselves in Afghan environment. The leader of the Afghan Conservative Party, Mossain Pastan, is "...the voice of the middle and upper class Afghans who are willing to participate in the new situation..." His voice is growing in popularity and demand, opposing Iranian "Cultural Revolution" on Afghan territory, upkeep of Afghan tradition whilst striving for democratisation, modernisation and industrialisation of the country with the help of Iran. Although, Pastan fails to represent the working class Afghans, who's reality has also changed drastically. Started to be treated, looked after and paid like the rest of Iranians, the working class of Afghanistan is yet to find its voice, and despite the communists and Fesri's efforts to be the voice for them, it seems like the current rising figure is Nassani Sajaja. Her party, Red Rose, has not been allowed to start in the nationwide elections due to Sajaja's refusal of signing the Loyalty to Crown signature. However, her voice is rising amongst the working class and her party in the Afghan regional elections came second, gaining 26% of votes. What has also happened, is the Sunni Clerics declaring and asking Afghans to boycott the election. Such radical response has come after the Sunni Afghan Movement has been banned from running both in regional and nationwide elections. The Sunni Cleric, Mossari Fashani al-Yazai, has most loudly demanded the boycott, stating that Islam will be attacked no matter who wins the elections.

Another interesting twist to the elections is that the system in which the parliament will be elected has changed. From this election onward, the Iranian Parliament will be elected by the First-Past-The-Post system. That has already changed the way the campaign has been led, with candidates in each province being extremely active. Many commentators suggest that "It has already changed the way politicians speak, the way they act. They all are now becoming "superstars" of their regions." However, many Iranians support the new system believing that it will give them a chance to be closer with their representative and also have the ability to know their representative.

Whoever is to win from the top three in the recent polls, it is clear that they will face new challenges that will have to be solved or at least looked at. Afghanistan and the assimilation of the two states together, the rapid expansion and demand for Iranian Healthcare System, the growth of the Iranian Military and the placement of Iran in the current world.

Muscat, Sultanate of Oman
Ministry of Defense & State Security
Sultan Abdulrahman V Approves Implementation of Banu Tamim Integrated Air Defense System (BYIADS)
نظام الدفاع الجوي المتكامل بنو تميم

The Royal Armed Forces of the Sultanate of Oman have been given authorization by Sultan Abdulrahman during a Consultative Assembly session to begin the implementation of what is being referred to as "نظام الدفاع الجوي المتكامل بنو تميم", the Banu Tamim Integrated Air Defense System (BYIADS). The BYIADS represents a heightened initiative for the Sultanate of Oman to properly and fully protect and defend the entirety of his country from aicraft, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles. The the Banu Tamim Integrated Air Defense System (BYIADS) shall be strategically and tactically constructed with the integration of S-200 missile systems (including radars) given by the Soviet Union, S-300 missile systems (including radars) given by the Soviet Union, HQ-6 missile systems (including radars) given by the People's Republic of China, S-75 Dvina Missile System (including radars) given by the Soviet Union, and the HQ-1 Missile System (including radar systems). The Banu Tamim Integrated Air Defense System (BYIADS) will have retaliation/offensive-capabilities with integrated Dongfeng-7 tactical missile launchers with integrated radar systems. The main component of the Banu Tamim Integrated Air Defense System (BYIADS) is directed toward anti-air and anti-missile operations and capabilities to make Oman into an absolute fortress. With the incorporation of the mentioned SAM systems, for counter-offensive capabilities, in addition to the DF-7s, Oman has received 20 Scud-D tactical ballistic missile from the Soviet Union, of which will be connected with the planned offensive measures. With the Scud-D missiles, the offensive measures of the BYIADS receives an effective 434 miles in addition to the 200 miles from the DF-7 tactical ballistic missiles. In combination of radars, offensive and defensive, the BYIADS has radar capacity to 200 miles surrounding the installation zones of the BYIADS. Sultan Abdulrahman V approved of the part of the initiative to have S-200, S-300, HQ-6, and S-75 systems implemented together in particular areas to be able to greatly secure the entirety of the Sultanate. The BYIADS installation zones will be in the following areas, of which is not public knowledge, to better secure Oman from any and all invaders:

          Fahud, Oman
          Haima, Oman
          Al Mazyunah, Oman
          Muscat, Oman
          Masirah Island, Oman
          Salalah, Oman
          Khasab, Musandam Governorate, Oman

With the lack of a naval force, Sultan Abdulrahman V has made it an extreme priority to better manage the security and defense of Oman's greatest potential vulnerability: the extensive coast. With the geographical location of Muscat being situated within thick mountainous regions with the potential for advantageous implementation of the BYIADS, Sultan Abdulrahman V has found it extremely imperative to establish a coastal defense protocol within BYIADS, of which has been labeled the Jābir ibn Zayd Coastal Security Protocol, or BYIADS-JiZCSP. The Jābir ibn Zayd Coastal Security Protocol incorporates the integration of the anti-air component of the BYIADS to properly combat potential aircraft being deployed from overseas as well as from naval aircraft carriers; however, the main difference with this protocol is in the main systems being used to properly ensure the protection of the Omani coast from naval assaults, missiles, and aircraft. In addition to the BYIADS, the The Jābir ibn Zayd Coastal Security Protocol incorporates HY-2 Anti-Ship Missile Systems from the People's Republic of China, HY-3 Anti-Ship Missile Systems from the People's Republic of China, AK-630 Close-in weapon systems from the Soviet Union, and HY-4 supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles of the People's Republic of China. The HY-4 will provide up to 310 miles from the Omani coast, the HY-3 will provide 180 miles from the coast, and the HY-2 will cover up to 124 miles from off the coast of Oman. The CIWs will assist in targeting naval vessels if they are to get approximately between 13,000 to 16,000 feet away from the coast in conjunction to HY-3, HY-2, and the implementation of FL-2 Anti-ship missiles, which has a range of 52 miles. The JiZCSP system will be implemented in:

          Muscat, Oman
          Masirah Island, Oman
          Salalah, Oman
          Khasab, Musandam Governorate, Oman
          Limah, Musandam Governorate, Oman
          Bukhā, Musandam Governorate, Oman
