So I snuck a look at the draft for the repeal. Idk if it's just me, but it seems like whoever wrote it kinda missed the mark with the intent of the original resolution. Keeping in mind that I'm no expert at lawyer talk, the resolution's only binding effects are simple: Hormone Therapy must be legal, easy to access, can't be denied as punishment, and can't be forced. The draft just goes a lot into how you can't argue the beginning part in a court of law, which isn't legally binding (AFAIK, the only legally binding part of resolutions in NS is the "Required, Forbids, Mandates" parts). Idk what the big deal about this resolution is (trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but there have been 5 repeal proposals in less than a week, and at least 2 of them argued that being transgender isn't real), but if you guys really want to repeal it based on the ambiguous wording, you might want to rewrite the draft, cause I don't think this one's gonna get out of committee.

I'd like to take everyone's minds off the drama for maybe 3 seconds and state that the fact swears are blotted out on NationStates is direct discrimination towards Australians and our slang.

As much as I detest Maduro & his regime, a war right now wouldn’t be wise. A better option would be to fund pro-democracy opposition groups in Venezuela. Military intervention should happen if Venezuela descends into civil war.
