New poll in Zentari, come and vote!

I fell from $5,916/year to $5,831/year.

It isn't you. The game is heavily weighted toward big government, socialist, big brother views on life. You know: Fantasy.

No kidding man, I remember choosing an option on an issue that had absolutely nothing to do with tax, and some how taxes rose.

I wish there were more issues that allow me to side with the market without subsidizing a particular company.

Yeah that bugs me a lot too. There's no "let people do what they want" option.

It's usually
a - nationalize industry
b - outlaw industry
c - subsidize industry
d- non-sequitor about banning the use of technology

I got open borders. Give me all your illegals.

Nailed it in one post.

Consider it done. We'll be flushing all our detention facilities and herding them your way. Going to be a long walk, but I'm sure they won't mind.

I would say the game is biased toward economic interventionist social democracy. It seems to me to stop short of socialism as every single time I've implemented socialism on a test puppet, the economy always went down.

I wish the game would take into account the starvation that imploded socialist economies would cause though.

Libernovusamericae wrote:-snip-

This puppet for example has an imploded socialist economy, but there is no mention in the NS stats about mass starvation, which is something that would be very noticeable in the real world.

This is a puppet of Libernovusamericae, and it represents the opposite of my economic views.

And the beat goes on...

If any of you have any terrorists in your country that have weapons that were manufactured in Landlordia, don't worry they are not working for us, they were just customers of ours.

I would offer the same apology if any of you suffered recent attacks after the release of PWC's (Pinochetus Weapons Corporation) recent Personnel Deployed Tactical Mini-Nuke™ which was designed for the working man who might not have the available man-power for crew served weapons, and desired the convenience of a backpack deployable weapon like this. We understood that these could also be concealed for terrorist attacks on soft targets, but rest assured that was not the intention, and statistics show that backpack nukes were used 5 million times last year to stop crime and halt trespass, especially when paired with the Good-Neighbor Residential 12-foot Concertina Wire Fence™, so we can stand the occasional tragedy if it means regular citizens have access to the same arms as the military at such low low prices. That those tragedies also happen abroad is just part and parcel of living in a globalized society.

You're doing it wrong.

The correct post is "We have better and more expensive weapons for sale that can be used against terrorists."

Indeed that does sound better.

New poll in Zentari. Come and Vote!

Didn't mean to make protests illegal, just wasn't having that throwing eggs at my property crap. Protests are still okay, but when performed in the street, they need a permit.

Can I get a couple of those?

And thus ends freedom of speech because the issuers of those permits now hold veto power over the protest.

No, there is still freedom of speech, they just can't block traffic whenever they want when protesting something. All they have to do is book whatever street they want to protest on and Kory will issue a permit and reserve the street for the protesters.

Unless Kory doesn't like their cause...

I really dislike how allowing people to protest improves political freedom.
If there are no elections or votes, then such protests have no effect on political freedom.

Xyanth and Landlordia

Xyanth wrote:Unless Kory doesn't like their cause...

Everyone's cause in Landlordia means nothing to Kory. Kory is a landlord and owner of the roads, not a representative for the public. Everyone who decided to live in Landlordia knows that and signed a contract on the matter, whether that contract was provided by Kory himself, realty company, or a sublandlord; all contracts states the matters of Kory's role in Landlordia. When it comes to the roads, you have to pay for reservation of the road for whatever cause; such a principle applies to any privately owned road, unless the owner does not expect payment for using the road.
