True Believers, I'm just curious, which politician(s) do you support if any?

Xyanth wrote:Have you ever noticed that when people on the left lose an argument, they start calling names and attacking the messenger?

Dick move, dude.

Let's go back to basics. When Trump wasn't the Republican nominee, did you support him? NO.
No that he is all you do is try to support any argument he presents.
You have no political compass. You are just a patsy.
I had a gay time discussing with you all in a free for all political forum. When it became a me against you political forum it really left a foul taste in my mouth.
I really didn't like the fact that the founder of this region went full on to Trump, when he was not a supporter for most of the campaign. We all know the founder is a political patsy, a political pundit wannabe. So, he is just trying to get his spurs, so to speak, with us.
Would the founder like to elaborate what made him change his stripes? I know I haven't but he has. So would he like to do so, or would he rather change the conversation to Hilary, Obama or anyone else that would keep the conversation from the question at hand?
Because we all know now that the only reason he takes part in these discussions is to try to make himself more like his icon, Kellyanne Conway. The lady who said she would really like for Trump to release his tax returns but when she comes under his payroll suddenly that doesn't become an issue.
Political SCUMBAG.

You can leave if you don't like it

Right now I am doing my best to support Trump and all conservatives. The alternative is pretty much a disaster.

Glad to see Capitalist Paradise is still in shambles

Imren wrote:Glad to see Capitalist Paradise is still in shambles

That's kind of sad.

Imren wrote:Glad to see Capitalist Paradise is still in shambles

Question: How is it "in shambles"? Looks pretty stable to me - at least from the outside.

Like Jonah Goldberg (who just the got the New York Times to admit that it was WRONG to claim he had changed his mind on Donald Trump), I believe in opposing President Trump when he is wrong, and supporting him when I think he is correct.

Surely that is the sane approach - it would be demented to say "I normally oppose that policy - but as it has been suggested by President Trump I support it", or "I normally support this policy - but now President Trump supports it, I must oppose it".

I know where I stand and I have not changed by position since Donald Trump became Commander in Chief of the West (for that is what the President of the United States is - and has been for a very long time now).

I stand (generally) with Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz in the Senate. And I stand with the Freedom Caucus in the House. I have not changed my position.

I just went and looked. Can't really say what Irmen was referring to. But I didn't notice the courts is still mostly vacant. Probably cannot take a chance on having another trial that goes against the founder.

That's part of what I meant. From what I've been hearing, the CP government is currently rewriting the entire constitution to allow them more power. That court case really rubbed the founder the wrong way. CP has also lost a chunk of their more prominent nations. Repented Jihadi, Fastercat, and LadyFastercat all left the region and no longer exist. Capitalist Producer also left the region as did my main and puppet nations. Their offsite forums have gone down (probably to scrub the records of the court case) and their overall nation count has fallen since the power grab by the founder. It might look fine from the outside, but its rotting on the inside.

It's pretty amazing how you ascribe everything to malevolence. I think your perception may be (at least partially) clouded by hate.

Also just checked their forums. They're up. Have you ever adminned forums or ever taken a look at the software? You don't need to take down a site to delete posts or threads. Depending on permissions the admin's given, usually moderators can delete just about anything. If they wanted to get rid of this court case, they could do it extremely easily - except they didn't. It's still up.

That's good to hear. While I hate what happened there, I would like the region to keep on keeping on.

Just crossed my mind, you do know this is Xyanth's puppet. Right?

Hello. I'm new.

I knew that before coming to the region

When I checked their forums a few days ago, before my post, it was down. Don't know what else to tell you

Tell us about yourself. What do you believe? Where do you want to see the government go and what do you want to see congress do?

I want a wall! I want a lot less regulations! I want lower taxes! I want Obamacare repealed!

All good things.

The Wall™ remains to be seen. Financing might be an issue.

What would you cut to lower taxes?

The problem with Obamacare is the former leadership in Washington manged to get a lot of this running and people are now getting their free stuff. A lot of people like forcing insurance companies to insure previously uninsured people that suddenly turn up pregnant, cancerous or with AIDS. Many more like the idea that lower income are only paying a couple hundred a month for a really good government subsidized insurance policy that would normally go for two or three thousand a month.

One of the first rules to reelection on both sides of the aisle is "don't take away the voter's free stuff."

That leaves congress in a bit of a squeeze here. How do you propose to deal with it?

There are two options here. Either you can get rid of the Individual Mandate AND the Guaranteed Issue, or you can hike the penalties up a lot on the individual mandate so that the price of premiums doesn't skyrocket again.

It is my thought there is no coincidence that the mandates and skyrocketing premiums all began at the same time.

I agree the personal mandate needs to go. In fact, all the mandates should be gone.

So you immediately jumped to conspiracy theories? -_-

It's not a conspiracy theory. The founder of CP had removed posts in the past that showed him in a negative light. That was one of the problems during the court case. I didn't realize you were there during the case.

The wall will be expensive, yes, but in the long term will help, because we won't have illegals taking our jobs.
