The letter is sealed in what seems to be a stamp made of blood, with the heraldry of the legendary Charlemagne on the stamp.

As such, you are hereby invited to a meeting between your leader and ours at the esteemed castle of Karling Keep in Northern Judea to discuss possibilities of alignment with our clan. Detecting the powerful magics of Heinrich Von Karling, the Illuminated took an interest, which then bloomed into an obsession after it was discovered the he too possessed the gift of immortality, but does not fall victim to the curse of infertility that plagues the Illuminated. The Cambaroideans have to travel through areas such as the Skavenblight in order to make it to the castle, however they are safe for most of the journey. After several weeks of travel, they arrive at the mountain range holding the vast valley basin ruled by the Von Karlings. Following the instructions in the letter, they are able to pass through a small gap in the mountain to reach the valley that is surrounded on all sides by mountains. Even though they had entered in prime daylight hours, long before the sun would have normally set, as soon as they enter the valley, the light almost immediately disappears into a pitch darkness only illuminated by what little light manages to pierce through the dense cloud cover into the valley. About half an hour of more traveling causes the Cambaroidean diplomat to arrive at a massive Gothic castle, clearly worthy of someone very rich and powerful. At the front gates to the castle are two men dressed head to toe in plate armor with practically no skin showing. One of the guards step forwards and examine the seal that the diplomat brought. Seeing as it was the seal of the descendants of Charlemagne, a name few remember now, the guard had more than enough reason to believe him. Stepping back, he pulled on a chain that did nothing for several seconds until the gate began opening as a result of some unseen mechanism. "welcome to Karling Keep, mortal. You are the first of your kind to enter these walls in centuries. Do not squander this opportunity. Lady Camilla shall be waiting for you at the throne at the end of the room."

The Cambaroidean exits the salamander chariot and asks: "Is there a pond nearby where I can store these? I wouldn't want my ride home to die."

One of the guards takes the salamander and begins leading it towards where the pond was pointed out. "Those blessed with the Gift are rendered unable to physically age in the way you are familiar with.
