But the solution is economic sanctions, not a build-up of military force that is a clear show of aggression and in direct violation of treaties made when the USSR dissolved.

Economic sanctions have never induced a policy or a regime change anywhere ever

Maybe not, but I'd still rather start with those than jump straight to military action.

Would anyone willingly want military action?

There is an electric train wich is moving at W with a speed 30 km/h. In E direction the wind is moving with an average speed 30 km/h. In wich direction does the steam gets out??

That's a cool question. I don't know the answer lol.

Where is the steam coming from if the train is electric?

Vandila republic

The steam is coming out the big tube-thingy on the front.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric-steam_locomotive

Also, if the train has a dining car, steam may also be coming from the kitchen area (if they have one).

So for the first few seconds or less, the steam will have the same momentum as the train, so relative to the train, it will exit straight up, which to an outside observer, would appear to be traveling up-west (i.e. in the same direction as the train). Pretty quickly though, the steam is going to lose that momentum, and be carried away by the steam, and travel up-east, and then depending on the weather, may dissipate completely.

The USA has 50 states, though hopefully some of us will secede soon. :)

The USA only has one state. The State of Freedom. :D

I'd say it has 3 states. A conservative state of joy and slight fear of progressive liberal violence, A progressive liberal state of whinging, self pitty and hatred of every view right of progressive left and the social/political commentator state of 4 years of job security.

We've got our problems, don't paint us as perfect, but I'll definitely agree that most of the West in general (and not just us) when compared to many other parts of the world has got it far better than we can probably only begin to imagine.
