We're in a temperate zone, with a western coastal plain back against mountains, of course it is going to be rainy. What, do you imagine that we have some sort of weather device weapon that we can use to depress our population and maybe call down hot-hail and firenadoes on our enemies?

Even in our more authoritarian and unstable periods we have always, as a nation, believed in the principle of protection of the environment and careful usage of its resources rather than the exploitation of such. While economically we haven't always been as powerful as our neighbors to the south, our grand rainforests, the "Everwood" stand tall and pristine to this day. The Tuitari forests are the "Lungs of Atlantis" so to speak.

Yes, to environmental protectionism. But that is not 'weather'.
I can have the nicest forests, but still have horrid weather (tornados, hurricanes, drought).
We even call then seasons here- hurricane season, dry season, etc.
But this discussion proves my point- there are just so many different ways to interpret the ranking titles. Sigh.
