Not to be rude, but I'm starting to get impatient over when the AOCAF will start. In my opinion, it will not start until the end of WC83 innit? I think I am probably too nervous. Anyways.
None of the regional tournaments have started yet. World Cup 83 Signups were just opened early it won't start for quite some time most likely.
That said, you can sign up for the AOCAF if you so choose. If there are any competing host bids they should be posted TODAY. You've had plenty of time, the other bid had been up for a month.
You have, frankly, no idea what timeframes you're dealing with: World cup 83 will likely start in July. The next AOCAF Cup - albeit a small one - could easily start as early as next week with 16-20 teams.
The Under-21 (Di Bradini) Cup hasn't even opened sign-ups yet, the Under-18 (Sporting) World Cup hasn't closed its signups yet...
Be chilled; there's plenty of time.

I'm reminded of an NES game where there was a discount option in the shops located in towns and some palaces. Most of the time the shopkeeper would say: "Don't be a smart alec! Get out of here!"
The player would be deposited back into the town screen with 10 coins less than they had.
I don't want to be pedantic, because I know that Vilita & Turori are the same OOC, but they do have separate identities in World Cup play (although they have competed together in the AOCAF since at least edition XVI); shouldn't they have been considered co-hosts on the several occasions when they have done so? They are technically independent of one another.

IC and OOC is often a fine line - for World Cup 40, Krytenia (then known as "West Starblaydia) was a co-host and IC puppet of Starblaydia, despite being an entirely different user (in the form of, of course, the user being Krytenia).

There's a running rat race to find the register button. Apparently, whoever finds the button gets to have a $10 gift card to the SLANI Gift Shop.
The registration link/button was removed from the forum IIRC as a means to stop spambots and registrations from people who don't play NS. The link can be found in the World Factbook Entry; manually copy and paste it into your browser's URL bar, remove the extra character in the URL, press enter, and as of last check you'll get the registration page.
Just a quick question about the Regional Map, is it still being updated?
Yes it is. When it's updated is usually announced in advance. Requirements for being added to the map are found in the current map thread on the regional forum.

"Official AOCAF LVIII Host Announcement- In light of the forums going down, and to save everyone's sleep, there will be no scorination of MD2 tonight.
Due to my own time commitments, we are officially pushing the entire schedule back two days- so MD2 will be Sunday, MD3 will be Tuesday, and so on
