I'll request those shortly. It is not my intention to forget about them. ;)

Wait, what prize claims are you two on about?

OOC: Literally everyone else: We're gonna update our privacy policy across the board to comply with the GRPD.

Facebook: We're gonna create separate privacy policies between Europe and the rest of the world to protect our business model.

And that is why I no longer have a Facebook account. As you were.

Is it quite soothing, isn't it? ;)

All right, Tessen. Unfortunately, I have some bad news to break to you.

We've had enough. It has become imminently apparent to us that you simply do not have the time, between all your other obligations, to properly maintain this region, much less get it up and running. We've been waiting two years at least for this region to come back up to even a limited degree, which hasn't happened. Heck, in my own personal opinion, it kinda feels like we've been waiting since that very first reset.

So we're leaving. Cascadia and columbia, Nearly Finland, and I. Not out of spite, or with malice or a grudge. We simply came to the conclusion that your obligations outside of this region are only going to get heavier, not lighter. As your business grows, as your family grows, your time for outside projects like this is only going to ever-shrink. And that's not a bad thing. That's a great thing. But it does mean that we won't be able to write the stories we wanted to write, to do the roleplays we wanted to do, at least, not here in the American Union.

So we're going somewhere else, with a heavy heart and a fond farewell. We (or I) would urge you to close this chapter of your life and dedicate your full attention to your work and your family. In the meantime, we'll be continuing our stories in our own new region. Many thanks, Tessen, for all your hard work on our behalf, and we wish you the best in your future. Godspeed.

Sorry, Tessen, it's true. It's just been too long. It's a big odd to say, but this region's had a big impact on shaping who I am as a person, and I really hate to leave. But since these stories are so important to me, It'd be a shame not to put effort towards continuing them. So I don't know how well it'd work out, but we've got to give it a try. Hopefully you understand, and don't mind too much that a great deal of the mechanics and story will be taken straight from our time in the AU. Heck, if you do feel the need for nationstates and, however unlikely, get the time, you're welcome to join us. Cheerio.

Cascadia and columbia

Yeah, I'll also say farewell. I'd just like to express my appreciation for the times I was here when the story was fully functioning. I will forever remember those stories, and the three of us will take much inspiration from them in our new region. I wish you the best in your many projects.

I understand. It's been a pleasure interacting with guys.... and sad to see you go. When the AU and associated regions finally are up and running (and my major promotional campaign gets under way), you are welcome to return at any time. We part on good terms, as far as I'm concerned. :)

And yes, though it does not appear so to those that are not in my office here, the AU/regions are still scheduled for relaunch, although, I suppose with your departure, a few things can be simplified in that process.

Good luck in your new region! (And, yes, I do honestly, truly and genuinely mean that).

Just a note, and, I suppose, a positive thing to come from your departure.... the AU and associated regions will be switching to a fictional world (with real-world technology). I've been wanting to do this for some time, but have not had the time -- or heart -- to set up brand new regions (in addition to getting the AU back up and running). With claims being voluntarily vacated here in the AU, you guys have helped make the idea possible.

So.... whether you choose to come back at some time, or remain in your new historical replay.... the AU will be moving to a fictional world format. I'm going to set aside the massive and daunting real-world land claims, and bring in a new world, fresh claims, and new opportunities (meaning, no real world historical simulation -- that's just proving to be too hard to translate to the NS setting, given my time constraints lately).

Updates should come more quickly under that set-up, since land claims won't have starting history.

So if you want in, you know where to find me. Otherwise, it's been a pleasure! Good luck in 1885. :)

Celebration appears to be in order. Tessen has now surpassed 30 billion NS population. That puts my nation within the top 0.8% of the oldest nations within the game of NationStates. Yes, less than 1%.

It's an honor to say the least.

Hello, hope you don't mind me disturbing the RMB. :P

That depends upon what you mean by "disturbing".

It just seems peaceful, don't know if the rework is still ongoing and didn't know if anything should be posted here until then (including small talk) haha.

Small talk is always welcome. :)

Well whats the plan for region? What you got planned?

Many things are planned. Putting them into play, however, is in a holding pattern at the moment, as we await updates from NationStates.

The wyoming peoples front

howdy

Hello.

The wyoming peoples front

anyone here very active?

This region will be VERY active after NS launches season 2 of the trading card game. We will be using the trading card game in unique ways within our roleplay. The cards we need, however, won't exist until season 2 is released -- hence, we cannot begin roleplay until then.

Tessen has crossed the 31 billion NS population mark -- an impressive milestone to say the least.

So, uh, you sure season 2 is gonna show? I mean, there's basically no info except "at some unannounced point in the future", and it has been a while since the days you expected the update to arrive. Will season 2 really be so drastic that we can't get started at all with the existing cards?

There will be a season 2, but you're right, there just doesn't seem to be any consensus as to when it will be released. Based upon forum discussions on the matter, it sounds like the mods don't know, and the only person with insight -- and any sort of time-table -- is Max himself, and he's "busy". So, that leaves me in an even more uncertain state with the planned roleplay format.

On the plus side, though, I have been accelerating an alternative launch option, which I could probably put into play at any time. We're still going to go with my original plans for the season 2 cards, but, I think we can knock out a limited storyline to get us going with roleplay until everything becomes available. Limited as in.... no international trade system, and thus, limited tech advancement until we have access to resource gameplay.

In short.... more of a "we're here, now what?" kind of early empire building -- pre-resources.

It could work. At least until all the season 2 pieces are released -- whenever Max gets around to it, apparently.

I say we go for it. Use the time to set up our nations and ideologies. This region's no stranger to limited play while waiting for updates, but there really is nothing else like the AU around, and I say we oughta keep it alive.

Last time we were waiting around for updates we tried some basic character setup stuff, but there didn't seem to be a point without player interaction. And the time before that we were sitting all stagnated at the god-tier roof of the tech tree 'cuz of exploitation of the rules (alright, I admit it, I was the main offender). This time 'round we can try to steer at least partially clear of the failings of both. Nobody should be able to become the world police just yet, not while all there is to do is to get ideologies set up. But at the same time we need some player interaction - mayhaps through individual characters instead of countries. And, uh, I really hope we can let some new people in.
