Quiet now that the minor religious war is over.

Suwaya wrote:Quiet now that the minor religious war is over.

The civil war is not over. The rebels are regrouping in Rome, and planning to issue a list of their demands to Iroma sometime in the coming days. There will likely be further campaigns in the Middle East and Asia.

Also in other exciting news My life expectancy has risen to 78. I remember when it was in its 40s and 50s, that was a while ago. Back then literally 4 people consistently talked on the RMB and I would post because I felt bad I thought the end was near for Rome. My doubts were squished as people just sorta started popping up. And of course my religiousness is at an all time high and am soon to be #1 in the region. Once I ascend to the top my leader will be a living god and I think everyone should pay him tribute.
Thank you all for listening to my TED talk.

meanwhile, my life expectancy is 90, and my religiousness is one of the lowest in the region (funny, considering I'm taking part in a civil war over religion)

Life expectancy 91 years, and religiousness top 1% (world) here!

Honestly I don’t stylize my country as a place to live for good health. Religion does find a way to have adverse health effects like human sacrifice.

Welp, only 2.45 prayers and hour. One of the most secular nations. I best stay out of this conflict.
We'll focus on exporting our Pop Culture

I literally don't spend much on religion but my people are religious anyway. Absolute beasts.

Devinism is a seldom appraised cult with less than a million followers worldwide. (including in the real world) The ruling parliment is very
anti-religion except for Devinism as Conloul Arepo is a personal devout follower. It is rarely mentioned let alone forced on the people.

This just in:

Iroma is seeing widespread mobilization out of its Judean land holdings,

500,000 prisoners from Jerusalem state prisons were freed and conscripted into the holy freedom forces, they were sent South with the goal of disrupting all trade and travel lanes connecting the Middle East and Africa, this act is being widely condemned by the international community as many nations consider this an act of banditry,
Iroma has ordered them to leave the rich, but neutral, lands of Novo senatus et populusque romanus alone, but only time will tell,

In the Northern Levant, all available forces have been sent out on a two-pronged campaign,
A large fleet of unknown size has departed from the city of Acre and has already subjugated the island of Cyprus, it seems the next destination is Greater roman state's capital of Constantinople,
the second prong of the campaign is a military advance from the city of Antioch heading towards Armenia and the Caucuses, it seems that Sebastianus wants to capitalize on the fact that Titus Cleraticus and his Wolfcloak rebels have left their land unguarded while campaigning in the Italian peninsula

Military strategists around the world are speculating as to what Iroma's grand plan is, it seems he wants to conquer Anatolia from both sides, we are aware that Iroma's land in Cambodia and E. Tibet are financially supporting these campaigns while sending men to the Squirrel military junta, it seems Iroman Jakarta has decided to stay neutral while Iroman India is facing threats from the growing Iroman nuke rebels

Hibernia

Hadrian Gladius has launched an invasion of Hibernia, declaring himself governor of the province. With the empire in chaos, and the local governor having surrendered his power to Gladius, it seems that nothing will be done about the invasion.

Funny how that's already on the map, I guess these Roman cartographers are pretty quick.

Unmarked shipping barges were spotted departing from southern Europe, headed who knows where. They were again spotted near the northern provinces, surely something is afoot.

Hey I just found out something cool.

So I now control Caucasian Albania and Caucasian Iberia, and I was doing some research on them. Those regions are part of modern-day Georgia.

Guess where Georgia's name is derived from?

According to Wikipedia: "External Western and Russian exonyms are likely derived from gurğān, the Persian designation of the Georgians, meaning "the land of the wolves."

Isn't that cool????? I didn't even know that when I picked those two plots!

Fate wills it to be so! but also, is it really your land if my army is parked outside?

Iroma wrote:Fate wills it to be so! but also, is it really your land if my army is parked outside?

Well, I'll admit I was caught off guard because I didn't expect to receive land until the level-up ceremony in March. Up until now, the "Wolfcloak" soldiers I have beeing campaigning with have been a few thousand ideologically-motivated volunteers from across the empire. That's why I relied a lot on my larger allies since I had no land of my own to raise units from.

Now that I have "assumed ownership" of Armenia and Caucasia, I am able to recruit a previously-untapped source of troops. Since those lands are at risk of invasion, I'm sure I'll have little difficulty convincing a large number of men to fight for me. They'll be green, but they will have a good knowledge of the rugged terrain and can be thrown together along the bank of the Euphrates to stall your advance.

Even if you marched into Armenia right this minute, you'd have to contend with very mountainous terrain and an even more hostile populace that can fester into a pro-Wolfcloak insurgency. That should slow you down long enough to allow me to build up an army in Caucasia, then slowly start pushing you back to Judea.

Republic of Texas Texas infantry and sappers move forward to the unguarded land and begin erecting defenses and setting out sentries, while the Military police support the local and regional Police

Has anyone here every heard of a map game?
