My Grandpa had the strangest horror stories.

He was a 12 year old in Mexico, and he had this dog he was training, he told it to stay in the house while he went outside and began walking around. While walking, his dog was following behind him and refused to go back to the house despite his orders, so he eventually decides to just ignore it.

He got to a bridge then finally actually looked back at his dog to begin walking back to the house. Then he noticed the dog's eyes were blood red and it's mouth was open beyond a dog's normal possible jaw angle. Then it started walking towards him.

Then he GTFO of there and ran back to his house where his dog was pawing at the door to be let out. He went inside, locked the door and did not go out the rest of the day.

Speaking of Zapata.

Another story of my Grandpa was him walking around town after the Cristero War, this was the same period of time as the Dog-Demon story.

He gets to this bridge where he's suddenly alone and sees hundreds of heads all on pikes.

Already that's pretty damn scary to just comes across.

Then the heads on the pikes move and stare directly at him and begin scream-talking.

So he GTFO of there and ran straight back home.

He left Mexico pretty soon after this so his other stories are from when he was married and in rural Texas or rural Ohio
