Price Controls
RIC:Global overproduction meant that with Black Monday food prices crashed as people were now struggling to afford food. Smallholder farmers support the price controls for now, as it guarantees them a fair price to sell their produce at a time of low demand. Larger agribusiness are more against the price controls, as they are unable to demand higher profits. The public dislike paying more for food in bad times but the increase in the cost of living is not exorbitant.
However while demand is low for now, indigenous production is already dropping due to the price controls removing the incentive for larger yields. The seasonal nature of farming also means, that if production drops now it will have adverse effects the next year, leading to public discontent.
Budget Cuts and Infrastructure Projects
Per traditional Keynesian understanding, the government must enter deficit spending to maintain the financial stimulus needed for economic recovery. The Chinese budget cuts have managed to turn this on its head, largely through reductions in military expenditure with the surplus budget then being put into state projects such as infrastructure construction. This is having a positive impact with it being a good start but the effort may need to be significantly ramped up, and possibily force the Chinese to begin deficit spending.

Naval warfare is a severely underrated action type for war movies
Why did you specify Human Geography? Did you select Greek Geography as your elective or smt?

IC:With tensions at an all time high, Khalid gets a letter from a TIS leader, requesting to have a meeting to discuss potential compromises. Khalid, not being totally stupid, sends a diplomat in his place in case the TIS plan to assassinate him. As soon as the diplomat reaches the "meeting place" in an isolated desert with a supposed bunker nearby, several shots are fired from all sides, instantly killing him. Once the news reaches back to Khalid, he is enraged and orders the army to attack and massacre all pro-TIS civilians and soldiers. (this will eventually come back to bite him). An army of about 1000 saudi soldiers encounters about 600 much more experienced TIS soldiers and a battle commences. In the insuing fight, the TIS army is victorious, with 650 casualties and 120 injured on the saudi side and some major armoured vehicles being seized. But much more importance is placed symbolically, as this marks the beginning of the saudi civil war.
Now imagine one big desert whose situation is too chaotic to import food/resources.
