Why does the Security Council exist at all? For all I know, it's pointless.

It was originally supposed to assist with protecting regions, however now its just a hollow tool which different factions weaponize against each other.

The world assembly is a good thing, we can unite all nations all factions into one country, one with peace, love, and fair votes and give the citizens the power

Does anyone else have the (quite narcissistic) habit of collecting the card of their own nation?

Liberations (a type of SC proposal) are quite useful when used right. They prevent regions from being locked down behind a password.

Do any of you agree?

The WA isn't actually capable of doing that, but the sentiment is nice.

P.S: Iím kinda new so be understanding please thanks.

Basically, just take anti-private-business issues, even if they have nothing to do with the environment, and your environment will become better over time. If you have options that would positively affect wildlife or the environment (such as limiting what animals zoos can take or opening national parks), then that works much better, but decreasing economic freedom is something you can do with almost every issue, and I think that higher economic freedom decreases the quality of the environment (stats affect each other in ways like this - for instance, all your Industries affect Economic Output in basically the same way, but they increase it instead of decreasing it).

totally not just a ploy to get you to establish communism or anything

Any way to host votes

Nope.
I feel like I should point out that Nationstates was originally created to promote a book, and it doesn't have that many features. Most of the content on NS is on the forums, which is where the RP is and where the general discussion is. (I'd recommend avoiding the latter, though - never will you find a greater hive of scum and villainy than NSG).

I can't hear you over my bustling and robust private economy and the hollering of all this wildlife.

Whoops, my top 10% Environmental Beauty and my capitalist economy are making far too much noise for me to understand what you are saying, do you mind repeating that Evil Dictators Happyland? Was it something about how you can have a private economy and an amazing environment at the same time?

Argoslasia wrote:I can't hear you over my bustling and robust private economy and the hollering of all this wildlife.

I said that it hurts the environment, not that it makes it impossible to have a good environment.

Argoslasia wrote:I can't hear you over my bustling and robust private economy and the hollering of all this wildlife.

True that! I can't do anything except to appreciate my efficient car manufacturing run by my private industries and my private insurance industry instead of using awful government insurance (90.3% of my economy is private!)

The U.S. tried that. We figured out pretty quickly that a figurehead leader is a bad idea.

When the US started out, Congress was in charge of basically everything and the president was only given token powers. As time went on, people realized that waiting for a congressional vote for basic actions was incredibly inefficient, and the president gained more and more power until the executive was the most important of the three branches.

not goverment im on about... if and when a new problem appears we i will hold a vote every time so the people can vote fairly and as i said:
