President Bingum today during a press conference stated "under no circumstance will Foxilan vote to allow a Creeperian Rebel Government into the union of Aurebeshia. We must respect the sovereignty of Creeperopolis".

However she also expressed her distaste with the current Creeperian Government, staying "Foxilan will never block a women’s right to choose".

The President has not gotten positive attention in the media with these stances over time. Refusing to blatantly love or hate the government of Creeperopolis has caused many Foxilanians to believe she is weak on foreign policy, butchering her approval numbers in recent times, times look tough for the Progressives if they continue to rally behind President Bingum.

After a series of heavy clashes, the LNDF has declared the Islamic Front to be defeated. The last remaining fighters of the group have been hunted down, being killed or captured in combat, or joining the Allied Republican Forces. The LNDF has officially announced the defeat of the group, and has stated that warlord Jean Patrice Yishuruba is a hero of Lyoa for assisting in the group's defeat. It is expected that SDM-Yishuruba is to fully integrate into government forces in the coming weeks.

Heavy fighting occurred as the LNDF attacked the Allied Republican Forces' front line positions. Several villages were recaptured by government forces, and the ARF are reported to be retreating further into the bush as LNDF pressure continues. It is also reported that the Holy Resistance Movement rebel group is assisting government forces against ARF.

Political turmoil continues under the Bingum Administration as several prominent cabinet members resigned in protest of the President’s foreign policy and income tax positions, including the extremely popular Secretary of State, Elizabeth O'Malley, as well as the Secretary of the Treasury.

Additionally, several impeachment articles have been repeatedly pushed by the Conservatives and Democratic Socialists in the Senate, many fear that with the right momentum, moderate Progressives may give it the votes it needs to pass.

The President will have to find a way to bring her approval numbers back from an all time low of 30%, back to her average of 63% before things get worse for her and her political future.

The Creeperian government officially revealed that Alexander Enrique Ramírez Umaña, the hated leader of the criminal gang known as Mara Salvatrucha, was captured in a DINA raid on February 3, 2020. The announcement brought joy to Creeperans across the country as the gang has been responsible for hundreds of thousands of deaths of innocent Creeperans. The deadly ongoing Mara War is a constant reminder of the violence the gang is responsible of.

A public execution was scheduled for February 29, 2020, the day following his capture. The date was decided as a way to deny members of Mara Salvatrucha a yearly day of remembrance of their leader's execution, as the next February 29 would fall in 2024. Alexander Ramírez Umaña was sentenced to death in absentia in 1999 on the following charges:

An estimated 1.2 million angry Creeperans from San Salvador arrived at the San Salvador Imperial Palace where the public execution was scheduled. Ramírez Umaña was originally scheduled to be executed by hanging, but Emperor Alexander II overruled the method and instead opted for an execution via firing squad. He cited "good behavior and cooperation while in captivity" as the reasoning for handing down a more merciful execution. Alexander Ramírez Umaña was executed via firing squad at 4:13pm SST.

In preparation for expected gang violence in the wake of the announcement and execution, 190,000 soldiers were deployed to combat any gang protests or riots. As expected, gang members began inciting violence. An estimated 114 people have already died in the hour following the execution as a direct connection to gang violence.

In other news from across the Empire, 5 atheists were beheaded in San Miguel by villagers as a celebration for the execution of the leader of Mara Salvatrucha.
