Plus RPing in somebody elses nation can be a bit annoying in terms of constantly asking about whether you can do something, what the culture's like, what the main issues are etc. etc.
I personally would love to see an IRL political RP. Maybe it could start out in the early 80's, a polarizing time in both American and British politics. Although real politicians would exist in the RP, we wouldn't choose them as our own characters.

I think the upcoming event will be a test to see if we can survive a region-wide cold war. We will, undoubtedly, have rogue nations who wish to unleash destruction. However, I am committing The Confederated Republics of Greater Mobile to the side of peace.
In order to preserve this peace, The Confederated Republics have decided to form a Regional Coalition: The Directive of Enforcing State Treaties Regarding UnConventional Tactics (DESTRUCT). DESTRUCT exists in order to prevent unconventional civilian-oriented war tactics, such is associated with nuclear conflict.
In order to ensure the safety of it's member nations, DESTRUCT may unfortunately have to take preemptive action against nations that refuse to join and comply.

Is DESTRUCT a NATO analogue? If so, I'll resign and start a WP analogue. Then we can have a REAL Cold War (not along ideological lines, unless perhaps monarchies and empire joined my side, and democracies on DESTRUCT)

DESTRUCT is for all nations who seek to enforce an interegional nuclear standard. It is a mutually beneficial defense pact between strong armed nations who are willing to put their own selves aside in order to tell everyone else what to do. I mean to enforce peace.
If you do not join DESTRUCT, then we will have to eye you with suspicion. The only nations that would not join such a benevolent peace keeping organization are clearly state sponsors of terrorism and rogue nations.
There will be peace in the NCS - and DESTRUCT will enforce it at the tip of a sword.
