Y’know what? I’m trying to have a realistic plot, and non-realistic countries will probably not do anything to contribute to that vibe. I haven’t told you, but I’m now planning on writing a (maturish) book series called the DCFIA: District of Columbia’s Federal Investigation Agency, and the plot is, well, obviously in Washington, D.C., and the year is 2030. Different types of police forces combine, but there are officers working on a specific case dealing with a (fictional) Islamic terrorist group, and one of the protagonistic officers, Tahira Khan, has a dark history with them after they killed her sister, Suhana, in Iran for not being a traditional Muslim and protesting by taking off her hijab (because some Muslim women consider themselves non-traditional, and, well, don’t see the point in a hair covering and find it oppressive). She’s part of their anti-terrorism branch, by the way. Tahira, note, she does wear a hijab but was okay when her sister decided to stop wearing it, while her parents proceeded to disown her (I mean Tahira, not Suhana).

Suhana was disowned at 17 but at 18 years old, with the little money she had left (Tahira gave her some biweekly (as in, every two weeks, not twice a week), but Suhana was homeless for a week until she had found a homeless shelter and slept there for 3 months until) she turned 18 and flew back to Iran to live with her aunt and uncle who were uninformed about her situation.

And it was then when she had started protesting. She got a couple of women to join her until it was almost quickly shut down.

Both sound quite interesting.

This newer one is more interesting, trust me.

Even though the first one has actual war, the second one constantly has close calls, and intense things like that make it more interesting.

It's more realistic since there are real countries involved, after all. Ones that people are familiar with.

Although I hope the story's not dubbed as islamophobic.

My great aunt is a publisher or something so I guess that's a good place for a start.

Although I also may be able to publish it online.
