I'm for an emperor, however they give the emperor so much power. They know that this will turn into a clownshow. They never had any intent to revise the constitution, no intent to let us vote on it. It's all a scam.

I think we should have something more like an imperial council with two members from each former region, although maybe just one from the UKO since they have only four active nations. This would make sure no one felt left out.

IIRC in the official election results, CLM came out on top unless they told you something else. We now have Patek who outside of Rhinia is a literally who.

What? Sorry. That didn't make sense. Can you repeat that?

We were told CLM won the popular vote for Emperor. However, instead we got Patek, a Rhinian who, outside of Rhinia, is a nobody.

Just so you guys know, this is what the emperor can do:

The Emperor, as founder, shall have the power to;
Appoint Ministers of the Emperor, to carry out the day to day functions of the government, on the advice of the Prime Minister
Commission an election to fill the role of Prime Minister, subject to s.IV (a)(iv-3)
Dissolve the Legislature and commission an election to fill the vacancy, subject to s.VII
Commission an election to fill a seat that has become vacant in the Legislature
Appoint a Lord Justice to represent the Emperors Court on behalf of the Emperor to administer Justice
Convene a meeting of the Executive Council, in situations of emergency, which shall consist of;
The Emperor
The Lord Justice
The WA Delegate
The Prime Minister and;
The Deputy Prime Minister
Dismiss any Minister from office, including the Prime Minister, for failing to fulfil their obligations and responsibilities, as in accordance with Section IV of this Act
The removal must be signed off by the Lord Justice, or two Ministers if the Lord Justice is unattainable
The Emperor must release a statement within 24 hours of the dismissal explaining their actions, otherwise the Minister must be re-instated
In the case of the Prime Minister being dismissed, the Deputy Prime Minister shall fill in until such time as an election for Prime Minister is due

Also, this is how the emperor was supposed to be nominated:

The position of Emperor shall be held by a nation, appointed by the Emperor Appointment Committee, for a term without expiration
The Emperor Appointment Committee shall;
Consist of one representative from each region merging
The representative is to be chosen by the Executive of the region
The chosen nation is unable to run for the position of Emperor
Appoint the Emperor, as per the process outlined by the committee members
Appoint an Heir to carry out the work of the Emperor if required
The Heir is able to partake in the day to day activities of the region’s government, including serving as PM, a Minister of an MP
Dissolve upon the creation of the region, with the Accession Council to take over, if needed (see s.II [d])

This did not happen this way at all. How can we trust Rhinia to follow this already authoritarian constitution if, before the region was even founded, they had already gone in direct violation of the constitution?

Thank you. That is absurd. Maybe we should create a new constitution or something.

The other thing is that there has been so little transparency on the whole matter. Its crazy

Technically Nouvelle-Quebec won the popular vote, but he was disqualified due to alleged threats that Rhinia would pull out of the deal if he was chosen.

Our Emperor, Nouvelle-quebec has worked mighty fine. While his power isn’t technically defined at the moment, there’s always been a respect between him and the elected officials. He watches over the region and protects us while we, the elected government, deal with the day to day Affairs of managing a region.

So, Nouvelle-Quebec wasn't chosen because Rhinia didn't want him to win. Well, no one wants a Rhinian, so it should go both ways.

Free Toast wrote:An upcoming writer has reached immense popularity after his story 'Vachrjatet ot vjarchotya (the ' indicates that the sentence is set in the past. Translated it is "Betrayed and sold") was published in the national newspaper in several parts.

(The story is inspired and partially based one of my favourite movies. I might fully write this just for lore, but I'm not sure)

The story starts shortly after Tresti's death but instead of Jehn taking his place, a man named Herjald Gerjbov took his place. Gerjbov stood for capitalistic reform which caused him to be very unpopular among the conservative parts of the Government.

Part 1 focuses on the life of Arljex Kjornva (a common name in the UCSR) and his family while the UCSR is ravaged by political infighting and attempts of reform. Arljex father flees the UCSR while Arljex and his sister Mirochja are still young. His mother Sjosrane falls into deep sadness but eventually returns to her normal self and decides to fully dedicate herself to the socialist cause.

Part 2 starts in the nearer future. Arljex has become an adult and tensions between the reformers reached an all-time high. Sjosrane has become a local hero. Arljex, one of the last to believe in communism takes part in an anti-reform protest and gets arrested his mother sees him as she was on the way to the local peeners group and experiences such an extreme shock that she falls into a coma. During her coma, the political climate quickly changes and the conservatives try to execute a coup but fail to gain popular support, using this, nationalist leaders declare the end of the UCSR. The poor economy of the new Republic of Toast is quickly overrun by foreign companies and unemployment skyrockets. The rest of part 2 is dedicated to a romance between Arljex and a Gingeroenian restaurant waitress.

In part 3 Sjorsrane slowly awakes from her coma but the doctor warns her family that another sudden shock could put her back into the coma. Believing that the recent changes could provide such a shock, Arljex decides that it would be best to take her back home and act like nothing changed. Arljex gets a new job at a magazine where he meets Djernet Hiurtok, an amateur writer and publisher of pamphlets. Mirochja cancells studying to work at a bakery. With the help of Djernet, Arljex rebuild the environment of the UCSR their small home

Part 4 further tells of Aljex's efforts to keep the UCSR alive. With Djernet they pick up the mantle of the national newspaper. Their efforts are made difficult as Sjosrane's birthday approaches. Further difficulties are a giant ad-banner, Sjorsrane regaining the ability to walk and the return of Arljex's father. But not only outside influences make the project difficult, as for example, the relationship between Arljex and than Gingeroenian waitress suffers under the web of lies Arljex builds to keep his mother alive. In the grand finale, Jenes Jehn now a famous scientist is put as the new general secretary by the " newspaper" on the former founding day a large group of musicians play the national anthem of the UCSR to honour it. Even Arljex's father rejoins the family. All goes well for 3 more days as the project which lasted half a year ends in a house fire.

The name of the story is a quote from the story, wherein part four one of Arljex's conservative neighbours complains that the new government "got us so far that we have to search the trash! They betrayed and sold us" for their personal gain

I will most likely write this into a full story. It will probably take a lot of time though

Any other nations you play?

Due to recent controversy, here's our attempt at a grass-roots constitution. Everyone from all participant regions can contribute as they see fit. Hopefully this can salvage this merger so all of our regions can once more march towards a brighter future together.
