Are they really effective? Well, I guess not really but that's your opinion though. My country's military equipment are mostly coming from the United States and they worked very efficiently in any battle because their weapon are very technologically advanced. Sure, I think the Soviet equipment looks badass but once again, I think they are not really as powerful as the equipment of the United States of America.
But since Trump takes office, the government threatened to cut ties with us because our nation could potentially pose a threat to them due to the fact that we're growing in powers and we even started to make our own weapon and equipment by modifying and converting the US equipment into our own. Seriously, WT heck is wrong with that old rich guy, he's paranoid af.
I did not endorse Trump for president during the primaries. I do feel that there were better candidates. As for Obama and Hillary, for me, the less said, the better. I would vote for Bernie before voting for Hillary. I feel that one should at least wait a year before judging a new president. Having a major hissy fit before the man is even inaugarated just shows one's immaturity and stupidity.

Good stuff if you don't like travelling, other cultures and languages or people, and want only the best for your nation; your people and no one else. If you think that the best way to achieve it is through war and imperialism, then you like fascism for sure.

Generally speaking, Fascism has those traits. A stronger nationalistic focus, with a disregard for foreign things. You focus on your country, and want to improve it by any means possible, justifying war and imperialism and brutish methods to ensure your people get what they 'deserve'. Usually a Fascist government has to be brutish, strong, forceful, to ensure that it keeps it's people in line. This can be done with a strong police force that has wide-ranging reach and power, as well as a certain degree of militarization. Imprisonment of dissidents, controlling and directing media for their own purpose; propaganda.
