II Interregional Olympic Games

The South Pacific is proud to host the second annual Interregional Olympic Games. This series of competitive challenges will begin on Friday evening 8:30 PM on March 2! An opening ceremony will kick off intense competition between regions, organizations and independent athletes. Will you take home the gold?

Results Are Now Live

The second annual Interregional Olympic Games, hosted by the South Pacific - the NS world’s premiere event runners - has concluded with a intense few days of competitive spirit and camaraderie!.

50 athletes joined the second annual Interregional Olympic Games this year and we had about 100 total NSers involved from spectators to cheerleaders, athletes, and hosts!

6 official teams, and a cadre of unaffiliated players, competed in the Interregional Olympic Games 2018: AIR, NPO, TGW, TRR, TSP, and UDS. It was a pleasure for TSP to host this event and continue our steady goal of doing fun and amazing things with allies, friends and potential new friends!

We also want to congratulate all athletes and spectators for helping this event be full of good vibes, Olympian spirit, and hilariously funny situations! Even with a host dropping out for real life reasons and some issues with time zones, we were able to get a high level of participation.

Special shout out to Asdersland, Denland, Ian Fleming, and Alkasia for rising up as hosts\challenge runners and really helping to make this event a success! This event couldn’t have been such a success without them! In particular, a shout out to yet another joint TSP\XKI venture that has seen record levels of activity on NS after the HP Festival!

Also shout out to team leaders for rising up, particularly Mad-Eye Jack of TGW who hosted an impromptu “How to Chase” sessions for athletes of all teams to help them improve their skills. Want to learn how to chase\defend? Go to Mad-Eye Jack of The Grey Wardens for the best training experience! <3

Other highlights or sweet moments from the games include:

  • VCs until 3AM or later with a fun group of people and mutes

  • Roavin making an entire VC erupt in laughter with a CaH card selection (***********) that is for mature audiences only

  • A Werewolf game where Escade, as detective gunner, shot two of the wolf team based on vibes only and got the third one through detection >:)

  • Ian Fleming for being the most hilarious CaH player who as host couldn’t earn points

  • Guy getting salty during Werewolf games

  • Having to *refresh* because CaH games, with 15 players, gets glitchy

  • Reaching 19 player Werewolf games and still not playing Evil Village ;,;

  • Miravana for being willing to learn and improve on the spot, bright future there!

  • The contested trivia questions based on semantics :P

  • Guy dominating trivia one-handed

  • Asdersland for calculating and double checking each result for each game and being a spreadsheet King

  • Resentine and his many many ships and obsession with illegal land mines

  • Alkasia for going from spectator to host in about 3 seconds because he was that good

  • NPO for the best training room convos, such a fun team to watch!

  • Pyrosky for winning a gold medal for TGW so he could get his role color changed

  • Dyl\Khevo for being adorable and bashful about the points system

  • Nequedem’s neighbor’s dog joining VC with him :O

  • Impromptu games that just happened like Codenames (get awesome people together and they will have fun!) <3
