[ARCHIVE] The Agheasma Charter & Code

The Agheasma Charter & Code

This is my home. This is where my nation grew and if it be, this is where it will die. This is where I met friends and grew my enemies, where I led missions of peace and became the moniker of death, where I rose and where I fell. It is here where I repaired a fractured people, created economic reforms, built towering cities, and yet managed to reverse all of it. This is Agheasma, and this preamble tells the story of us all.

Governmental Charter

It is understood that the region of Agheasma assembles to discuss matters of importance to remain stable, efficient, and effective. For this reason, it is comprised of the Founder who heads its administrative and legislative body, the Agheasman Conclave, or better known simply as the Conclave.
The Founder
  1. It is recognized that in order to allow things remain effective, the region is to be led by the founder and counterparts deemed fit. Their term is not definite.

  2. It is recognized as the leader, Head of State, and member of the Conclave that they become Chairman of the Conclave, helping lead discussions among members on pressing matters at hand.

  3. It is recognized that the Founder holds the ability to appoint Conclave members, adding to responsibilities and the member's role in the Conclave.

  4. The Founder is regarded as the highest ranking member of the region, the Conclave, etc. and is thus deemed the official face for foreign affairs between other regions and matters exterior to Agheasma.

  5. The Founder, being the leader of the Conclave and face of the region, is charged with communicating changes or ensuring the communication of changes by appropriate members of the Conclave to the residents and citizens of Agheasma.

The Conclave

  1. It is recognized that as part of the role of the Conclave is to act as a legislative body to create laws to effectively and efficiently govern the region as seen fit.

  2. It is recognized that regional policy should be discussed and debated by the legislative body, primarily doing so before enacting laws or policy that affect day-to-day operations.

  3. It is recognized that members of the Conclave are experienced in matters of regional governance and policy, often advising the Founder regardless of whether they are uncertain or not.

  4. It is recognized that members of the Conclave may be delegated additional roles.

  5. It is recognized that members of the Conclave have as much weight as is permitted by the monarch to perform actions as administrators of the region.

Revisions to the Charter

  1. It is noted that upon the composure of this governing document of the region, that revisions are likely needed to be made as the region changes through time and to keep effective and efficient, revisions must be made to promote the interests of citizens and residents.

  2. It is to be found that any revision made to the Charter must hold the approval of the Founder.

Policy Otherwise

  1. It is understood that lesser policies may be crafted that do not override the Charter's permanent tenets and instructions be they original or revisions.

  2. It is understood non-revisional, non-contradicting policies passed by the Conclave require simply a minimum of 50.% + 1 of the Conclave agreeing with the measure, and the same in order to repeal it.

Map Code

  • The Regional Map is a place for all dedicated members of the region to display the territories of their nation in a common forum, and should be respected as a neutral zone where all are welcome.

  • In order to partake in roleplay directly related to the map, a nation must be a recognized territory on the map.

  • To be recognized as a territory on the map, a nation have been placed there by one of the regions recognized Cartographers. (I.e Sparkdottir or Stahlrahm)

  • It is up to the Cartographers discretion to determine the validity of a claim, expansion/loss of territory, and whether or not to remove a nation from the map.

  • As the map is meant to be a realistic forum for international politics, there are no limitations regarding interaction between nations, so long as it doesn't violate Section I.

  • To interact with land that is unclaimed, or not under the control of any individual party, one must contact a moderator to act as the unclaimed territory.

  • Any nation determined to be unfit to partake in the Regional Roleplay, or determined to be inactive to the point of disrupting the flow of roleplay, can be removed from the map at any time.

Residency Code

Citizenship & Residency Policy
  1. Basic Citizenship is automatically granted to residents once they have fulfilled the basic requirements set out by this Charter.

    1. At minimum, the individual in question must have remained in Agheasma for a consecutive 7 days.

Resident & Citizen Conduct Policy

  • The Regional Message Board shall remain a place for civil and fair discussion between the members of this region and others.

  • Debates that have the potential to become uncivil and disruptive must be brought to an off-RMB place of discussion, or be halted immediately.

  • Phrases, terms, or events that incite aggressive and/or undue behavior towards a citizen of this region or others, must be halted immediately.

  • The general use of terms, with no intent to direct them towards any onsite party, cannot be halted and must be recognized as a legitimate exercise of Free Speech.

  • Members of allied, embassy regions may converse with members of Agheasma via Embassy Posting, so long as they do not disrupt daily activity within Agheasma
