The History of Heiliges Justinisches Reich (Holy Justinian Empire)

The first human settlements on justinian soil can be traced back to 50.000 bc, at the end of the great ice age. Hundreds of scattered tribes dominated the vast Landscape of "Regmok", the Land of the Forests. Those first settlers quickly established small, isolated settlements which grew and began rivalling each other for soil and resources. Due to this, the people of Regmok became used to war and found themselves dragged into conflicts on a regular basis.
One of the many city states that was established, was known under the name of "Krekotokia" (the modern Justinia, the capital of Heiliges Justinisches Reich). Being located in one of the most inhabitable regions of Regmok, the state was forced to expand. Due to an effective military and a well working tax collecting system, Krekotokia was able to become an influencial power within the boundaries of Regmok.
Despite the military success, Krekotokia was not able to overtake its biggest rival: Astria. A war broke out over a few territorial disputes, but it is clear that the intention of this war was another one: the age old justinan question needed an answer: Who is going to unite all the people of Regmok into one nation state, Astria or Krekotokia?
Emperor Justinian I. was the one to declare war on Astria, beginning the great Regmokian wars. After a series of military successes, Krekotokia saw itself overtaking all of the Astrian terretories. Justinian himself led his armies in the war, which is why he became known as the "Soldier`s King".
The people of Astria were thankful for their new leader, and support for the Monarchy grew bigger and bigger. Due to this, the Holy Empire of Krekotokia and Astria was renamed into the Holy Justinian Empire. The entire country cherishes and loves its monarchs, who became symbols of Regnokian unity.
Due to that, the colours of the crown are also the ones being represented in the Justinian flag: blue, white and yellow.
