[Outdated] Diplomatic missions of Orange-Bourgogne

For an overview of relations, see foreign relations.

The diplomatic relations of the United Kingdom of Orange-Bourgogne are conducted by His Majesty's Office for International and Diplomatic Affairs, which is less formally known as HM's Diplomatic Corps. The Diplomatic Corps is headed by the Master of the Diplomatic Corps, though various other departments and agencies play a role in various contexts as well.

HM's Diplomatic Corps is responsible for all diplomatic missions of Orange-Bourgogne, which means that they are responsible for the officials of missions to foreign nations as well as those who are accredited to an international organisation.

Sovereignty disputes
Disputes regarding the sovereignty of a nation. When listed here, (a part of) the nation is not officially recognised (yet) by HM's Government.

  • Monaco-Monte Carlo - this Principality is not recognised as a sovereign nation as it agreed in a recent referendum to join Orange-Bourgogne.

  • Californian bear republic - this State is not recognised as a sovereign nation as it is a state of Imperial Eagle.

Diplomatic missions
Diplomatic missions are delegations send to a foreign nation or an international organisation in order to represent the sending party.

Sorts of diplomatic missions:
Diplomatic missions can be sent and received in many forms. Orange-Bourgogne recognises four general forms of diplomatic missions.

High Commissions are the highest diplomatic missions. They are exchanged between two sovereign heads of state. The other state must be a (constitutional) monarchy. The heads of these missions are High Commissioners, and are accredited personally by the Monarch to the official Court of the receiving state.

Embassies are the highest ordinary diplomatic missions. They are sent on behalf of a government rather than the person of the Sovereign. The heads of these missions are Ambassadors (at large) and represent the full nation from or to Orange-Bourgogne.

The third-ranking mission is that of a Consulate. This is the lowest form of diplomatic representation. It is used to co-exist alongside an Embassy, though it may be accredited to an Embassy in another nation. Heads are known as Consuls, and they perform diplomatic services in a particular region of a nation, rather than in the whole nation they are sent to.

Finally, there are extraordinary missions these are missions who are not sent to or received by states, but, for example, international organisations. The heads of these missions rank as an Ambassador (at large), even though their title may be something else, such as the popular Chief of Mission.
