Welcome to the Sovereign Charter!

So, you just joined the Sovereign Charter! Great choice. Please allow me to welcome you, if I have not done so already.

This brief guide will give you ideas on what to do now.
Firstly, say hello on the regional message board (RMB). There’s bound to be someone on. Why not also jump onto the IRC or Discordservices? These are the regions primary sources of communication and allow you to socialise with others.

Check out the two world maps, and grab some land. Follow the instructions on the Origin and Quantum threads. You may be asking what the main difference between Origin and Quantum is. Quantum typically dives into more fantastical and magical roleplays, and is also more selective on where you can place your nation, to allow for easier roleplaying. Personally, I encourage you to place on both.

You can roleplay immediately. Check out our available Role-plays, and jump in. I encourage you to check out the new Pub as well. It’s an excellent opportunity to develop characters, and to socialise with other nations in-character. If you don’t like the roleplays you see, please do set one up.

Every 90 days, there is a presidential election. You are more than welcome to stand for president, and to stand for other government roles. If you feel you can contribute to the region in other ways, please let us know!

If you fancy recruiting you can do so in quite a few ways. You can always see if friends or family want to join (this will most likely ensure you all stick around, which will be great for consistency). You can also send telegrams to nations, (which is how you were most likely recruited). Try to stick to new nations, as these are most likely to move.

As a nation, you can answer issues which decide the way your nation goes. You can also write factbooks and dispatches about your nation, ranging from history to leisure.
