Oktotheio's Flag

In response to many foreign powers' misunderstanding the nation's flag, the Queen has requested this be written to prevent further mistakes.

The Oktotheioan flag is in the ratio of 3:2 and consists of two bands of gold and red, the gold band being on top and twice as large as the red. The gold represents the nation's mineral wealth and the royal palace, while the red is, like in so many other flags, the blood of the people, both that which is spilled in the name of the nation's ideals and that which which comes to the surface due to the nation's nudity laws.
In the centre is a drop shaped Lapis Lazuli, which symbolises many things such as, but not limited to, the fact Oktotheio is an island, the capital Sapphire City, and the Queen herself. Linked to this latter meaning is the crown on the lapis which resembles the Queen's own crown.
