Drall for Local Council!

Most of you hopefully know me, either as Drall or by my nation name, Mostly Benevolent Tyranny. For those of you who don't, I came to the South Pacific a few months back, and have since immersed myself in the community, on both the discord and forums, and perhaps most importantly, on the RMB.

In terms of my non-NS self (shocking that there's one of those, isn't it?), I live in America and am a student in high school. My passions include history, philosophy, and so on...

Anyway, enough personal matter, let's move on to why you should vote me for your Local Council! I believe the LC has three primary functions, which are as follows.

Firstly, I see the primary duty of the LC to be communicating, relaxing, helping, chilling with, and generally being there for all members of the region, especially those who are not on the discord or the forums. In a continuation of this, I believe it is the duty of the LC to coordinate with the Minister of Regional Affairs in planning events and festivals, as well as creating polls, themes, and other fun and activity inducing affairs!

Secondly, I see the LC as bridging the gap between those solely located in the NS part of the South Pacific, and the forums and discord. In this regard, I view the LC as representing the will of all of our community forumside and on discord.

Thirdly, it is the duty of the LC to create laws which help to govern both matters here and how the LC conducts itself in its own matters.

My goals for the LC are as follows. While the past Local Council has done an excellent job, including the writing of many laws and the bringing of great fun, I believe we can still improve our work in the Local Council's duties. If elected, I'd like to encourage players to join both the forums and the discord, the former of which is in dire need of new blood.

I'd also like to try and further bridge the gap between some of the players here and the forums, an issue that's come up a few times. Perhaps a more precisely named formal representative to the Assembly, or just all of the LC...and on the flip side, perhaps reports from the LC to gameside in regards to the Assembly...

Finally, if elected, I'd love to continue the current Local Council's work on laws, something I love doing in NS! Of course, I'd continue to be the (hopefully) active, cheerful, helpful, and snarky presence that I, probably misguidedly, think I am!
