The Great Civil War of Solitas

20 years ago a rogue faction known as "The Mantle Precursors" fought against the Kingdom and divided its people. They believed in the suppression in self-expression and individualism in order to increase productivity and further the nation.

The war divided the people in the West and East, with the Loyalists on the West and Traitors on the East. An almost even split of the people led to devastating battles in the frozen tundras but when the king led his army in the final charge against the traitor stronghold of Anima the opposition fell to the loyalist forces.

The leader of the resistance bent his knee to the King and asked for forgiveness, he was executed by the King in the town square of Mantle and all resistance died with him.

After the great civil war there were a lot of settlements lost, having been pillaged and razed, but they were rebuilt in the years following the war and the freedom of individualism gave the people hope.
