With 6.8 million residents it is also the country's largest and most populated municipalty and first in the Oceano Union by population within city limits. The Metropolitan City of Constantinoupoli has a population of 8 million residents. The city is located in the northern portion of Neoromano peninsula, along the shores of Terma river.
Constantinoupoli has the status of a global city. Constantinoupoli recognised in 2014 as one of the most-visited cities in the world, 1st most visited in the Oceano Union, and the most popular tourist attraction in Romaia. Its historic centre is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Monuments and museums such as the Magnaura and the Hippodrome are among the world's most visited tourist destinations with both locations receiving millions of tourists a year.
