FROM THE OLD UPDATE... (in a chronological order):

Kingdom of Gondolin:
(RP nation: Old gondolin, NS nation: Eglamar)

- AT THE SUMMIT -
"Well, my friends" addressed Ecthelion his guest the next morning after the long debate.
"Here is the map that we produced yesterday after having a few cups of that splendid wine... As you can see, we have a few issues. Would you be willing to settle down some disputed land claims? Or should we just stop here, and go on our journey managing each other his or her own sphere of influence, leaving the disputed lands to only those parties concerned? What say you, my friends?" After eating a raw carrot while waiting for an answer, Ecthelion briefly added
"Of course, this is supposes that the parties here are at peace at the moment, except for those who have disputed claims or who have entered the other's sphere of influence without an appropriate permission..."
"And of we are done here, I would like to thank everyone for coming here to preserve peace in our Middle Earth!"

----------

Kingdom of Rohan:
(RP nation: The rohirrim empire, NS nation: The remnants of angmar)

Elfwine, who was looking at the palintir of Isengard and Aragorn inside of it (he had stolen it for just this post and will return it, I hope) was shocked at how many reinforcements had come to Isengard to meet the hundreds of rohirrim that had come to quench the evil. "I must reconsider, Aragorn I want you to immediately go to the army, tell them they must halt there attack, otherwise they shall meet their doom. Also say that I paid a little visit to the tower of Othanc and the palintir." "I will do what I can." Aragorn replied swiftly, and the troops decided to reclaim the Great Forest of Fangorn.

----------
Cancel war on The Tribe of The White Hand
Declare war on The Darkmarshes (since the NAP ended this update because I said for two updates)
Offer NAP to The Tribe of The White Hand for one update
I would like to cease control of Fangorn and ask if Gondolin wants it.

Dominion of Rhun:
(RP nation: Gurthanc rp, NS nation: Gurthanc)

In Khand, the news of the victory at Gorgoroth arrived to much celebration. The new warband had assembled at the capital, and King In'tirrilas went out to make a speech to them:
<Warriors! You have trained for this moment! The armies in Gorgoroth have been victorious, so go! Go forth and aid them! March forth, Armies of the East!>
--- In Gorgoroth
As the army of Warlord Arthang'uthil rose from the blackened corpses of the orc hordes, the Warlord had servants strike his tent.
<Our victory is accomplished! We can now march out and strike at the dwarves who have for long taunted us!> As his generals assembled, the Warlord sent a messenger to the Unfettered: saying
To the Leader of the Unfettered Men
We require your assistance in our Westward expansion. Your troops are required to attack the lands of our enemies, who have taunted us and flaunted our demands for peace.
WE trust that you will assist us

----------
Declare WAR on the Druadain Hill Dwarves! The NAP didn't take effect because they did not formally accept it.
Move 1715 Men through the Duath Gap into Ihtilien
Request the Unfettered Army in Lebennin assist in the assult

The White Fanged Mountains:
(RP nation: The white fanged mountains, NS nation: The northern frost dragons)

Frizar looked at the newly formed map.
"What are the men of Rohan doing coming north? We have sent word that we want to reach the high pass. Request with them safe passage through the Vales to reach the high pass. Also request from them an alliance since we both have one with Rhun."

----------
Request access to the high pass through Anduin Vales from Rohan.
Request Alliance with Rohan.

White Hand Tribe Rebels:
(NPC nation)

The White Hand Rebels have received news that the provinces they have claimed, in the summit, are now in the hands of elves and dwarves. They expected some sort of reply, and were confident they are to receive one shortly. Couriers do take time to travel throughout all the realms, especially when they are dispatched with vital information, while whispers only travel lightly ....

The White Hand Rebels also wish to ascertain their claim on the province of Rohan, and have dispatched a mighty force at the outskirts of the province. While, at this moment, they do not plan to attack or harass, they are interested to see who else in the council offers their support for their claims. They might even be persuaded to cease control of some of their claimed provinces, for others ..

The White Hand Rebels also had a formal issue to send, towards the Unfettered:
" To the Kingdom of the Unfettered,

There have been some rough edges and unpolished acts between us, but there has also been a great deal of misunderstanding.

In your speeches, in the Summit and before, you mentioned us breaking pacts with you. While we understand why you may feel this way, you also have to understand that we are a different faction than the one you brokered the pact with, thus we had no such formal ties in the beginning.

Now, this can change. We value your friendship more than the province of Andrast, and as such, we would be willing to relinquish the control on Andrast for some more ... leaning mood, when it comes to other of our interests. And of course, to set up again the line of no-crossing between our two realms.

What do you think?"

----------

The Broken Kingdoms & Darkmarshes Faction:
(NPC nation)

The Darkmarshes took their chances on a gamble they thought would put them on somewhat-equal footing with the nearby factions.

However, their plans may have backfired as they picked up the scent of the forces of Angmar nearby, thinking that they are marching for the same province they have just helped conquer, with the help of the Broken Kingdom.

Nevertheless, what has been done is already done, so the time is now to look for future progress. Their attention turned unto the Kingdom of Rohan, not with greedy eyes - but with interest for friendship. The following message has been sent with utmost secrecy via the relevant channels, to be received by the eyes of the emissaries of the Kingdom of Rohan.

" King of Rohan,

The recent skirmishes your faction has made, on the barbarian encampments further north of your base provinces have proved to be really successful, and your fame is increasing in the world.

With this, I would like to remind you that our kingdom has no warlike desires unto Rohan, and that this behavior will not change in the near foreseeable future, unless you so choose to act nefariously against us. Hoping that that time does not come, I bring the following proposition.

We have noticed the army movements of all the factions near you, and there are none more worrying than those of the orcs of Rebel Hand. Having nations not willing to attack them around their lands, their only chance of expansion is through your lands - and they, unlike us, certainly think that you are weak.

I believe that an orc can put sense into another orc, and as such, I would be willing to try to persuade the orcs of the White Hand to shift their focus elsewhere, if you pledge support to myself and to the dwarves nearby you, and support our claims as your own, and we will do the same for your claims. Having a center of power in Rhovanion, Rohan, the Iron Hills and the darkmarshes makes our little cluster a powerful entity.

Please reply back, via a private message."

----------

Druadain Hill Dwarves:
(NPC nation)

The Druadain Hill Dwarves felt too isolated, and too picked on. No-one around them was showing them any consideration, other than aiming for their lands. What they can do, and are doing quite successfully so far, is to preserve what little gain they had as of yet, and not to give in to foreign powers claiming more of their lands.

----------

Elves of Cardolan: & Kingdom of Arthedain:
(NPC nation)

* no visible IC messages *

----------

The Unfettered:
(RP nation: Starrp, NS nation: The starlight)

"About time!" Grumbled Valinus as he received word from the Dominion of Rhun. "I'll lead the men myself," he said, ordering the army in Lebennin to attack Ithilien under the lead of the men of Rhun after declaring war.

To the White Hand Rebels, Valinus replied in this manner.

"To the White Hand,

I do regret this misunderstanding, and apologize for my incorrect statements. I would be happy to continue our friendship, and perhaps create a non-aggression pact between the two of us, contingent on the line of no-crossing. However, I cannot support your claim on Rohan, as the Rohirrim Empire and the Unfettered are allies, and the name of the province is Rohan, ancient homeland of the Rohirrim. However, I am willing to support any claims against Gondolin--for their rapid expansion is worrying, or any claims against any other nation save Rhun."

----------
Declare WAR on Druadain Hill Dwarves
Join Rhun assault on Ithilien with 1345 troops in Lebennin
Offer NAP to White Hand Rebels contingent on Rebels ceding Andrast to Unfettered, no war parties crossing the Old Pukel Gap and the Unfettered supporting all territorial claims by Rebels save Rohan and Rhun lands.
Move 1440 troops in Lamedon to Lebennin

The March of Maedhros:
(RP nation: The sons of feanor, NS nation: March of Maedhros)

"Prepare for an attack! Do It!!!!!!" Screamed Maedhros the Ironically Short

----------
Move 700 dwarves from Upper Rhudaur into Eastern Arthedain.
Also march 900 dwarves from Lhun into W.Arthedain, then into E.Arthedain (if I have movement left)

Kingdom of Gondolin:
(RP nation: Old gondolin, NS nation: Eglamar)

Ecthelion send a message to the Cardolan elves:
"Elrohir,
You are to abandon your war actions against the March of Maedhros and to restore your allegiance to the rightful protector of the elves in Middle Earth. This is your last warning. You have only one day. This day.
Ecthelion of Gondolin"
Then he addressed a message to the White Hand Tribe.
"To the leader of The Tribe of the White Hand,
We have received your message. It is regretful that such an incident occurred. I personally trying to stop the spread of the new malice of the Middle Earth - The Arthedains... and now it seems the Cardlan elves as well. Hah, what a twist of fate.
But I do realize that unknowingly I have included some of your land into my kingdom. Don't feel threatened by it. I authorize you to attack Dunland. This way, once you capture it, we will exchange these two lands. Don't get me wrong, but I did spend some troops conquering it. And it is a strategic piece of land for you, under protection of your kin from Angmar, to say the least. Thus I believe it is a reasonable exchange terms. If you help me deal with the Cardolan elves in this manner, I will offer you free passage through my lands to Emyn Uial or any of the land in your Sphere of Influence, as defined by the Mithlond Summit Treaty.
If you agree to this, accept this offer of a formal alliance as a sign of good faith.
Respectfully,
Ecthelion of Gondolin".

----------
Send a message to Elrohir demanding him to abandon his plans and restore alliance with Gondolin.
Send a message to the White Hand offering an exchange of Emyn Uial for Dunland.
Authorize White Hand's attack on Dunland (Gondolin's Sphere of Influence)
Send an offer of formal alliance to the White Hand.

Kingdom of Gondolin:
(RP nation: Old gondolin, NS nation: Eglamar)

"Here are our next strategic moves. Execute them" - Ecthelion trew the map on the table in front of his generals and left the tent. He had a meeting to attend. With his secret messenger that was going to be sent to Angmar.
"Tell the Witch-king this. We wish peace with them, as was discussed at the Mithlond Summit. Seeing how Cardolan elves resist the call for mutual peace, I have authorized the White Hand Tribe to attack Dunland, which will be consequently exchanged for Emin Uial. I hope you favor this deal and will be happy to have your kinsmen near you. This means that you will not oppose this deal, and maybe... encourage the White Hand Tribe leadership to accept it. Oh, it seems I still have some of the wine from the Summit that you have liked. A few barrels are sent with this messenger, as well as the text fro the non-aggression treaty. Yours, Ecthelion of Gondolin".
After the meeting he received another messenger from Rohan, with an interesting offer.
"Take control of Fangorn? Hm... It is a valuable offer indeed. Tell Elfwine that I am interested. But what does he want in return?"

----------
Move 220 elves from Southern Lindon to Eryn Vorn.
Move 1220 elves from Southern Lindon to Southern Arthedain (through Eryn Vorn).
Move 220 elves from Southern Arthedain to Northern Cardolan.
Move 190 elves from Eastern Arthedain to Upper Rhudaur.
Move 265 elves from Emyn Uial to Upper Rhudaur.
Move Ecthelion to Southern Arthedain.
Send a non-aggression treaty offer to the Kingdom of Angmar.

Kingdom of Gondolin:
(RP nation: Old gondolin, NS nation: Eglamar)

"My valiant warriors! Today we stand for our Western Alliance! You are to protect the land against anyone wishing to pass it, be you on our land or on any land of the Western Alliance. If our proud nation is not in an alliance, formal alliance or a non-aggression agreement with the advancing forces, raise your shields, for a wall, don't let them pass. And once they draw the first drop of our elven blood, shed them mercilessly, without any fear or compassion, for they have dared to disturb the peace guarded by elves, they have decided to ignore us as if we have already left this land. So bring them back to earth with the sharp kiss of the elven steel forged in Gondolin, shatter their erratic dreams that would lead all f us into chaos. Today elves and dwarves fight together to protect our land, to protect what we stand for - freedom, harmony, peace in Middle Earth.
Stay strong, proud warriors of Gondolin. It is not the first time that we stand against an enemy wishing to take our land. We have survived once, we shall survived again. But only despair and death awaits those who dare to go against the Kingdom of Gondolin! May Elbereth strengthen our resolve, Ulmo make our will unshaken, Aule bless our shields to be unshattered, Orome guide our swords to their target, Tulkas make us feel no fatigue, and Mandos prepare his halls for the newcomers. May Este sent her maids to see to our wounds, and Nienna be gentle to our fallen, may Nessa dance in our fame and Vaire record our deeds. And let everything go according to the insight of Manve and Eru Iluvatar!"
Such was the message of Ecthelion to all his troops.

----------
Order his troops to stop everyone not-allied from passing through the lands of the Western Alliance (Gondolin+Maedhros), unless authorized by Gondolin or Maedhros.
