The terms of all elected officials of the Peoples Republic shall last for two months.

The Founder is a non-elected, executive position tasked with maintaining regional security, administering elections, and carrying out the democratic mandate of the region's members. Secondary duties of the Founder include fulfilling the roles of all other offices of the Peoples Republic in the event of any absence or untimeliness on the part of an elected official.

The Deputy Founder is an elected position, tasked with maintaining regional security, and carrying out the democratic mandate of the region's members. Secondary duties of the Deputy Founder include assuming all duties of the Founder in event of their absence.

The Speaker of Alþingi is an elected position, tasked with administering voting on regional proposals and incoming embassy requests.

The Coordinator of WA Affairs is an elected position, tasked with administering regional votes on WA proposals, as well as leading the Peoples Republic in discussion of matters before the World Assembly, and in revolutionary agitation within it.

The Admiral of Víkingasveitin is a position appointed by the Admiralty, tasked with leading the region members of the squadron, Víkingasveitin, in military gameplay.

The Skáld Laureate is an elected position, tasked with maintaining an archive of matters up for the vote, regional legislation, regional appearance, and general regional history of the Peoples Republic, in the form of dispatches.

PROVISIONAL LEGISLATION -- VOTING PROCEDURES OF PRI

Election & Recall

All full citizens of PRI may run for office and vote in elections. An election shall last for 10 days. If a single candidate fails to receive 51% of the vote or more, then the two candidates with the highest percentage of votes shall share the responsibilities of office. If a candidate receives 51% of the vote or more, they shall bear the responsibilities of office solely.

Recall of an elected official can be initiated at any time, lasts for 7 days, and requires the consent of 51% of citizens voting.

Legislative Proposals & Repeals

Any full citizen of PRI can make a legislative proposal in Althingi. Legislative proposals last for 7 days and require the approval of 65% of citizens voting to pass.

Any full citizen of PRI can call for the repeal of regional legislation, provided a repeal of the legislation has not been called for within the last 31 days. Votes on the repeal of legislation will last 7 days and requires the consent of 51% of citizens voting to pass.

Constitutional Amendment
Any citizen of PRI may call for a constitutional amendment, at any time. Voting on constitutional amendments shall last for 10 days, and requires the consent of 65% of citizens voting to pass.

Embassy Construction & Termination

Citizens of PRI may call for embassies with any region, excluding with the primary purpose of roleplay, and those tagged as Fascist, or Anti-Communist. Voting on embassy construction shall last for 7 days, and requires the consent of 65% of citizens voting to pass.

Any citizen may call for the termination of embassies. Voting for embassy termination shall last for 7 days, and requires the consent of 51% of citizens voting to pass.

PROVISIONAL LEGISLATION -- CITIZENSHIP PROCESS OF PRI

A standing committee, The Committee for Public Safety, is responsible for the administration of the regional citizenship process.

The Committee for Public Safety shall consist of the executive officers of the Peoples Republic; the Founder, Deputy Founder, and Admiral of Víkingasveitin.

Admission and retention of citizenship is subject to the discretion of The Committee for Public Safety. Voting to overrule citizenship revocation may be called for one time per case, and revocation may be overruled with the approval of 51% comrade citizens voting.

Citizenship in the Peoples Republic shall be obtainable by invitation or application via Registers NS Iceland.
